Yes only one of the many players we have had on the books.
If you have ambition you keep the nucleus of your team together and add to it not sell it off
I just hope we are not going back to the days of signing players of any calibre.
No, you hope we are - then you can continue to moan.

Would much, much rather have promising youngsters on their way up the ladder than well-paid cloggers past their sell-by date.

Turnbull WAS a good player but plagued by injuries the past 2 years and not reliable going forward

Hannah sometimes players just don't fit in. We can do better.

You mean like the chance Elliot Newbury was given.
As for the moaning you sound like someone strong not weak called Theresa

I assume you mean Elliot Newby, and if so, yes.

As for the rest of your post, your comedy needs some work.

Never given a chance. As for comedy you are probably right but you seem to quite original.

Think you need a mixture of both to be a success at any level, but it's a fine line in getting the right balance and that's where a decent manager earns his crust.

Agree 100% Need a mix of youth and experience, and hopefully Cox can get the correct blend.

Most football league contracts run through to July, then its a domino effect downwards. Most sides want players from the league above so its a bit of a waiting game.
Plus a lot will be asking big money at the moment which will go down when they are still clubless in mid July.

All a big game this time of year.
Agree with both of the above, early days yet
how we get there i don,t no.Barrows on the way

Thought he had a decent 2nd half of the season when was fit and had a run of games.

I'm sure PC has players lined up to allow the like of Hannah and Turnbull to leave - as for Elliot, I've seen him play since he was 5 and from what I've seen of him the last 6 months, he's probably right now to fight for a place, a talented lad just lacked a bit of physicality. Hope he can make a good start and force his way in.

Turnbull's legs had gone, but he created a hell of a lot of chances from set pieces.

I believe we have ambition, hence the reason we are replacing outgoing players with better ones.

Turnbull was a fine player in his prime and showed that whenever he could for us. His last season at Macclesfield was marred by repetitive injuries, a pattern that repeated itself at Barrow. When he was even nearly fit he'd put in a decent shift and added much needed bite in midfield. He was also a leader. Our problem was of course that we had a smallish squad and his repeated absence through injury therefore become a growing problem for us. If we'd only needed him for 50% of the fixtures I reckon we could've got more from him.

Chester might be lucky and get an injury free Turnbull and if so will get a good deal. However, I see he's signed a two year deal (I think he had one year with us). I'd be very surprised if Chester got a whole lot out of him in year 2, and if they cant afford to rest him frequently, will have to get used to frequent absences. If so they'll find themselves with the same problem as us - wanting him to nail down a regular first team position but not being able to achieve it for quite long periods.

So its easy to make a case for not being too upset about losing him. Neither do I detect a great gnashing of teeth coming from the club. Lets hope that indicates some more positive news to follow therefore. Our core squad is now shrinking.

How do you know the players coming in are any better Dixie. Can I borrow your crystal ball. It"s called pre season . And we are going around boot sales. Can you predict we will sign anyone better than Danny. ...............
