Wow. That hurts. One of the consistent ones...
Just Byron, Dixon, and Bennett to try our hardest to keep hold of now

Will have gone for next to nothing. Blackpool usually get players on free transfers

Re: Nick Anderton
Thought to be in the region of £100k according to the evening mail
Re: Nick Anderton
Was always going to go, so not a crushing disappointment, and nobody can blame him for stepping up two divisions, nor the club for accepting £100,000.
He was a great player for us, and the best player on the pitch a number of times last season, so he can definitely step up.

Re: Nick Anderton
Exactly, Good business all round, The player who served us well gets a dream move, The club Replaced him before he went & got a decent pay out ( I don't know how much but as we are more professional than we have ever been I'm sure it will be more on our terms than there's) We are seen in the Football world as a club that developes talent & players who can move on to bigger & better things......While the club IMPORTANTLY also keeps progressing to bigger and better things ( A mini NL Southampton ) type way.Moribund wrote:Was always going to go, so not a crushing disappointment, and nobody can blame him for stepping up two divisions, nor the club for accepting £100,000.

Jordan @ Nick will be delighted the way the club has operated & helped them in their quest & are bound to highly recommend us to Players, Including young or squad players in their new clubs who may be floundering or static in their development just as Nick experienced, So in my honest opinion it's a massive WIN/WIN for all concerned.
Thanks Nick & wishing you well in your career.
Re: Nick Anderton
That,s three of the back four gone. Can see the old " it,s going to take time for them to gel" line being trotted out. Good
job there,s going to be quite a few pre season games.

Re: Nick Anderton
As Moribund stated, always destined to leave at some stage, hoped we may have held his interest for one more season.
Good luck for the future NWA.
I think he will progress further than Blackpool but in the meantime hopefully a good deal for both club and player.

Re: Nick Anderton
Good luck to the lad - pulled his tripe out every week and has earned us a transfer fee. EAW.
