It was quoted as starting Mon 19th June & finishing on Fri 21st July at the latest.
If this start date for the work is now delayed till next week (26th), will this impinge on the start of the season (it's already affecting the home friendlies).

Or are we still dependant on a council decision for the work, as according to the planning application - the decision is still "pending" with a target date of 19th July.
The planning application process usually takes an eternity - was this factored into the overall scheme, because as it stands - it appears to me we may not have enough time, again, before the season starts.

I wouldn't hold the club down to any dates, Straker originally said that work would begin in the first week of June and work would be completed no later than the beginning of July.

I would have expected the work to have started before the pitch was done - as stated by the club

Id have expected some sort of common sense to have been put in place before paying to lay a pitch , only for it to be cut up in places again 11 days before the first friendly is due to take place.

In Business you sometimes have to make decisions that to the layman with no experience may look daft but in reality are the best thing to do...

You also sometimes have to wait for the chosen company to be available to do the work for you & don't just hire any old firm who is available anytime, There's a reason they're available, The new pitch needs time to bed in therefore needed doing in the timeframe it was done in, same with the lights but you need to break the eggs before you make the Omelette, If the pitch is wrecked on the day it's needed cry foul & I will agree with you, If it's fine when the day arrives your just going to look daft again aren't you.
