Burgundy is RED Mr Casson. You lied - plain and simple.
When asked directly, you said none of the kits were RED. It looks shite and it should never be a consideration.

There is a rumour that the club have agreed a sponsorship deal with Specsavers to pay for eye tests for anyone who thinks the third kit is red.

Ian - could you confirm if this is true?

Like the addition of a collar. Football shirts are always better when they can take a tie.
Black sleeves - what colour tie would you recommend?
Skinny black square cut tie with the white or maroon. White or red tie with the blue.

Paisley cravat with any

Quick bit of research explains that Burgandy (the colour) is a colour along the lines of maroon, cordovan or oxblood.

Red is a colour at the end of the spectrum next to orange and opposite violet. No mention of maroon in there :)

Personally, I don't see Burgandy as red, and even if it was it's never bothered me if we had a red third kit, I liked the one in the 90s (still got it somewhere) but it would've been better without V****** Promotions plastered on the front.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

"But we can't have a burgundy shirt because a club an hour and a half away play in red"
My god, this forum is like a social experiment.

look decent in the photos. Prefer this shade of blue used in the shirts to the brighter blue used in the scarfs (and the blue paint that is being splashed all around the ground).
Like the third kit also.
Out in good time. Think back a couple of seasons when the delay on the shirts was supposedly because they coudnt get the right print colours for the Coral sponsorship logo and they were not on sale unti the start of the season.

Shop looks great, 3 different kits in various sizes.
Launched before July, just in time for everyone's holidays.
3rd kit looks great too. PC said at the forum it wouldn't be red, prefer bright orange myself, but Burgundy will do
Well done all at the club involved in this.
And even out before the mighty Fylde :D

My only gripe is, and i've said it before, is that our colours are Royal Blue. I have no idea yet again what colour "blue" it's supposed to be !!!! It's not even on Ians spectrum ! Mr. Casson, you said when you took over the club, and I quote, " There are too many different colour blues around the club" Now YOU add another one !

Quick bit of research explains that 'the color burgundy is similar to other shades of dark red such as maroon, cordovan, and oxblood, but differs from each of these in subtle ways.' Similar explanation so possibly from the same source? I know not everyone has the same aversion to red kits as I do and that's fair enough. Point taken and understood. But it's red, plain and simple.
And for me, it's nothing to do with any other club's colours when it comes to BAFC.
