Paul Ogden has been appointed Head of Football Operations. A good move by the club and a really positive step going forward.

Seems to be a little they've gone behind coxs back surely if Ogden and cox are close they would have talked about this before hand.

Hope you're right Mark.

I didn't like reading that Andrew Casson insists manager Paul Cox is not on the way out.
When I read something like that I always think that there just might be some substance to the denial.
The word 'insists' also adds fuel to the fire... :?

Like I say; I hope you're right Mark!

Very strange and indeed quite rude that they didn't discuss this with Cox before deciding it

They may have. But no need to tell us they have...
We're merely fans of the club who pay the players wages.

I would be surprised if revenue from fans covered half of the playing budget. The club is operating at a ~1m pa loss.

What's the saying "unity makes strength" Yes peculiar that the manager wasn't consulted beforehand if that is what happened. Maybe there has been a breakdown in communications between certain parties and this is seen as a way of building bridges. I wouldn't imagine Paul Ogden taking on a role without Paul Cox's full backing and await Paul Cox's views, but only time will tell!!

A lot of fans seem to forget that.

I'm sure Paul Casson (yes I know! )said at the meeting in the crossbar that after the fa cup run the loss was about £220,000 still a lot but not as bad as people like to think or in some cases seem to want!

It is a strange interview, Its plain to see for anyone used to reading club statements that we aren't dealing with football people in the slightest with the Cassons.

Hopefully Cox has okayed the situation though as this sort of thing (bringing people in over the manager -I'm thinking Newcastle united here in recent times) has a history of [SwearFilter] them off
