Re: FC Halifax Town (H) Match Thread
I'm afraid to say barrow look a bottom half of the table team .
Halifax as bad .
Not coxs fault but when your owner wants to cash in on your best players what do we expect ?
It's a rare thing I've stood there thinking what a waste of £15 but last night it was
like watching paint dry

What a bizarre last couple of pages.
Anyway unlucky not to win yesterday so no need to overthink the game.
2 games in squad taking shape but not sure on Hall yet.

Sense. 9 players making their debuts at Holker Street last night. Give them time. It might not work out for some of these players here, but let's see where we are 10 games in.barrowfan_chris wrote: ↑Wed Aug 09, 2017 8:46 pm What a bizarre last couple of pages.

"To achieve anything and to get to the Football League, we have to expect to win every game. I've got to get everyone believing that we can, and I will work hard to embed that mentality into the players, the town, the board and whoever else” Ian Evatt.

I quite enjoyed the last 2 pages, the Cockerline story had me on the edge of my seat.barrowfan_chris wrote: ↑Wed Aug 09, 2017 8:46 pm What a bizarre last couple of pages.

Re: FC Halifax Town (H) Match Thread
Came for some reasoned analysis about the game, what I got was some bizarre rantings about a staring competition or something...
I actually thought Hall played well (apart from the terrible shot in the second half) - he drops back to cover the full-backs when they bomb on, and also carries the ball when he picks it up in that situation. A solid 7/10 last night, so not sure why he's been singled out. White struggled, but every time he tried to outmuscle a defender, the ref blew up - he'll do okay this season. Gomis had great moments and bad ones.
We were far better than Halifax, and the match was good up until about 60 minutes, when both teams gave up.

Stuff like this shouldn't happen, 1st game at home & only 2 bar staff??K-Man wrote: ↑Wed Aug 09, 2017 12:57 pm Oh I went up to the X bar before the game to be greeted by friends on the stairs walking out. They told me to turn around because I've no chance of getting served. Queue to the window and only 2 staff serving for the first home game of the season. No bottle bar either which couldn't be simpler to run. To right to get extra staff in apparently!
Seeing the 2 new ales in was a welcome surprise, despite one of them being took off.
We're still learning . . . Etc
No Bottle bank on the opposite side of the room to ease the queue for the bar??
You should have a BB & someone floating between the 2 directing & informing those queuing at the bar to the BB and observing watching the crowd & informing everyone of their options.
This improves the service & the match day experience & would surely benefit the club by keeping the fans happy & turn a profit.

Re: FC Halifax Town (H) Match Thread
Will Cockerline be the new Bennett, seems people are impressed by him so far considering he has been out so long and isn't game fit yet, Add Harry the Pan, White to the impressive Yussuf & with Harrison to come back (if we can keep him fit, I worry on that with his injury track record, but you never know) That's a potential lethal strike force if we serve them properly.

Yeah,I agree Mike. But what worries me is this. If Cockerline does turn out to be the new Bennett, the template has been set in as far as we wont be able to hold on to him.Radio Cumbria will be monitoring and taking reports back up to brunton park.

Re: FC Halifax Town (H) Match Thread
Shouldn't but does. Frequently. No matter who is managing the bar. Although there will probably two extra bottle bars in place for a home game against Barnstoneworth Utd in the Lancs Cup, attendance of 216. We'll then be told bottle bars aren't viable.
Re: FC Halifax Town (H) Match Thread
Puts the soccer bar profits up no end, their well happy. Customers get served so they return. The club react too late again and lose out. Just need someone to bolt the gate now the horses have a new stable to drink in.
Re: FC Halifax Town (H) Match Thread
This has probably prompted the job advert for more bar staff on the website.Lancaster Branch wrote: ↑Fri Aug 11, 2017 12:29 pmShouldn't but does. Frequently. No matter who is managing the bar. Well, that was a boring match. Won't do much to attract returning fans
