Away at Solihull Moors
There do not appear to be any updates concerning the 'safety issue(s)' which led to the postponement of Solihull's opener v Chester on Saturday. Hopefully, all will be sorted in time for our match there on Tuesday night.
Re: Away at Solihull Moors
Speculation over on their forum that the game might be played behind closed doors due to ongoing issues at the club/ground.

Re: Away at Solihull Moors
That would be most unfortunate. That said, at least the fixture will be fulfilled. If that is to be the case, hopefully an early announcement will be made, may give us a chance to recover the rail fare cost at least. Much rather see the game though, for sure.

If it comes to it could we not play them at home and swop the home game later in the season to away?

Can I change my hotel booking in Birmingham to one in Barrow, though?

Re: Away at Solihull Moors
Absolute disgrace that there hasn't been any real update yet. We are seven days on from when this first surfaced. We won't have many there anyway and aren't normally segregated so it makes zero sense to be played behind closed doors.
Then again when has common sense come into it

"A meeting has been held with local authorities and we are working together to resolve the issue as a matter of urgency." - responce to asking if the game will be on from solihulls twitter feed

Agree with above, play it here.
Re: Away at Solihull Moors
If they are unable to fulfill fixtures they should be looking at a points deduction. No ground share available for them until it's made safe?
I wanna take you to an Away Bar

Re: Away at Solihull Moors
Didn't Liverpool request to play away at Burnley last season even though they were meant to be playing at home? Think it was due to the new stand being built? Ask well in advance to reverse the fixture?

If there is any problem at all just swap the fixtures round.

Re: Away at Solihull Moors
Surely the downside of that logical suggestion would mean three consecutive home fixtures in eight days which could financially penalise Barrow.

Re: Away at Solihull Moors
That's true but it would solve the situation. The only alternative is a further postponement.
