I said at the time that it was complete waste of time playing Harrison in the last 2-3 games, league position was settled and only bad could come out of it. He should of been left to recover and get ready for the start of this season. Very worrying if that was the doc's attitude

I, too, thought that he clearly looked unfit in his brief appearances at the end of last season but perhaps if he hadn't been tested in this way the additional issue may not have been discovered until pre-season, with an even more significant delay to a possible return to the team.

That's not how it should have been though, Hadrian. Harrison himself told them that he didn't think things were right but, apparently, was advised "It's in your head, son". A decent training session should have been enough, not sticking him into a game. Having had his knee sorted it was only when they scanned lower down, at his ankle, that the chipped bone was discovered.
It all comes 'round again.

Will he be the same player on his return?

I thought the original injury was to his ankle as he had landed awkwardly on it. What was it with his knee?

Yep, you're right, all the NWEM reports refer to the original injury being to his ankle but I'm just regurgitating Andy Wood's account. His words were to the effect that the the original problem was his knee and that "it was only when they looked further down his leg" that the chipped bone in his ankle was found. Anyway, whatever, it seems like it won't be long before he's back which is the good bit. :skill:

I hope I'm wrong but this is becoming another Wilson scenario it was only a minor operation so he should be back in full training now.

For a brief period towards the end of last season there were 'squad updates' on the club's website which we were assured would be a regular feature. Did it last 2 weeks?
It all comes 'round again.
