Moore didn't have much to do. Audel looks out of his depth, not helped by a heavy laden Hughes and an excellent Dover left back, Ilesanmi. With twenty five minutes remaining Dover bought on Daniel, another left sided attacker who bemused Audell and crossed for their equaliser. Just before H/T Thierry Audell went on an amazing run whizzing past four defenders but shot weakly at the keeper. Thought i was watching Thierry Henry for a moment. Their forward, Bird was a handfull and the Mousse was winning most tussles. Nieskins looked solid in the first half but was error strewn during the second period. Gomis was everywhere, although had a great chance to win it towards the end. Harry P was brilliant, scrapped the bar in the first half and was constantly chasing lost causes, but showed a lot of guile. A smartly taken quick throw from Jones to Harry P with a quick lay off to young Bauress and a perfect cross on Whites' head 1/0. Shame it was probably the only thing White did, don't think he is the main man. ARH was in a great position around 85mins but Cockerline ignored him and shot tamely wide, that was a clear 2 on 1 situation that was thrown away. Guess a draw was a reasonable result, certainly we would of taken it at 2.59pm. Great battling team display all round and as per usual at The Crabble windy conditions. We need to get these injured players back, pronto.
Quite incredible report

You don't rate Audel
You don't rate our top scorer (3 in 3 games)

Yet the commentary said otherwise

Keep off the booze Please :D
I don't think that's totally unreasonable. Audel had some shakey moments in the game. Although improved massively on his Dagenham game.

White was ineffective for large parts of the match too. The goal he scored was due to a great Bauress coming from a nice run from Harry P.

Even with a full squad to choose from a point at Dover would be excellent. Got to be happy with that.
More worrying is only naming 4 sub's. We really are thin on the ground right now.
Cockerline is not fit. RC said Hughes never looked fit and Bartram on the bench knackered? Only a couple of weeks in?

I would guess we'll start looking at some more loan players when the transfer window shuts?

I bet its a much reduced budget from last season.
To be honest I am not happy if its funded by the US tax payer.

Lets say if things were reversed.
A UK citizen can reduce his tax liabilty by investing in a a USA baseball club.
He walks into the city and says I am going to invest 1 Million Pound it actually costs him £555000 or alot lesss but things like the NHS and Education get less money is that right?
IF i want to spend money it should be mine and no tax offsets.People on PAYE do not have that luxury.
My company tried to reduce the National Insurance I paid through a tax loop hole.Unlike MPs I did not say I cannot do anything about it I actually made sure I paid the extra NI.
If you want services you have to pay for them.
I think Casson is finding the ownership of the club costly hence the sale of the best players and no expenditue in transfers, reduction in salarys hence Danny Livesey etc leaving.
The club is on life support.
Cox is good but not a Harry Houdini its about time Casson helped him if the tax calender is in the right phase.
You been on the drink Peter?

I think he means that clubs in the league tend to wait til the transfer window shuts and have done all their business before deciding which players are surplus to requirements. A lot of youth loans seem to get done in September.

A very good result considering the depletion of the very small squad.

4 subs on the bench at this stage of the season is rediculous.

A complete shambles of a pre season Will lead to a load of youth loans coming in over the next few weeks

You just stick to fylde shambles only 2 Centre halfs now for the season unless they get some young loans. A kid thrown on bench yesterday to fill it.

Leave our shambles alone.

I was talking to a Dover fan yesterday and he was telling me that they only have 3 of the players they had last season

After a few days being unable to access the forum (thanks Chris for sorting it out), I logged on expecting to see several pages of the usual drivel. And guess what? I wasn't disappointed.

More worrying though. I find myself in full agreement with one of a former member of this forum's posts.

Yesterday was a good result against a team who we do not have the best of away records against, and it was a cracking header from a superb cross that gave Barrow the lead in front of a packed (well, around 30 of us) and vociferous away end. So despite the Dover equaliser it was a point won rather than points lost.

Even with injuries and suspensions, having a squad with only four possible substitutes (including a goalkeeper, which in my view is an essential position to cover) available is far from ideal; what if someone had picked up a knock before the game? It does happen. Even a partly fit player on the bench, purely to make up the numbers, would avoid sending out the message that we are struggling for numbers.

As for the day itself, the neanderthals stewarding the game last season had been replaced by a more user friendly bunch, although I wonder if their attitude would have been as relaxed to supporters smoking in the ground as it was to themselves? Do as we say, not as we do.

And was a ratio of one member of the Kent Constabulary to ten away fans not just a tad over the top? Any illegal immigrants heading across the channel make a note - best to come when Dover Athletic are at home. :)

If that is White being ineffective lol
Then keep him in the team cos what a player when he becomes effective

"For large parts of the match"

His header was decent but the work was done by Harry P and Bauress to put it on a plate for him.

The rest of the game he put in graft but didn't contribute an awful lot. Not to the point that I would criticise him as Dovers centre backs had a great game. But Southcoaster makes a fair point.

A striker who puts in graft with very little service, which was said on Radio, who scores a great goal from the only decent ball he has all game, he will do for me, we need to get more decent balls to him.

I've watched him a few times now and as you say he grafts well and goes back to help defence at every corner or free kick, and like Audel and Hall has a decent football brain imo.

When Harrison comes back with him Yusuff and White we will have a powerful front line

Shame Fitzpatrick got injured as he would be a player to put decent balls into box.

Think however the whole team are in it together fighting for each other,Cox is saluting the fans who travelled too, we are Barrow let's do it this year.

My personal opinion of white is, he wont be a striker that will make a chance from nothing.
White is the kind of player that will work hard no doubt but only way he is going to have chances or score goals is for us to create chances for him as already seen by the goals he has scored so far. I do think sometimes we are trying to play to him like we played to bennett

Adam29 think you are correct he isn't a player that wants to run at defenders but he gets mixed in about the defenders and makes room for himself in the box , he is certainly a goalscorer, noticed a tweet yesterday that's his 8th goal in his last 10 games in the league 5 for Wrexham and now 3 for us.

As You say let's create the chances in the box for him and he will get probably more goals than Bennent if he keeps up those ratios of 8 in 10
