Re: The Next Barrow Manager
Gotta just put together an attractive package, make a bit of money available if there is any there, explain the Ogden thing, and wait and see who applies.
Simples.

Gary Brabin I agree.....or Micky Mellon
Re: The Next Barrow Manager
I think either one of the Holdsworth brothers would be a great appointment.

Re: The Next Barrow Manager
I hope it's Micky Moore, because he will only get the job if we are winning football matches
Re: The Next Barrow Manager

Re: The Next Barrow Manager
I think we should take stock. The worst thing ever was from Mr Casson giving a timeline for success. As a business man I think he was caught up in the moment of passion.
We need stabilisation.
Lets be a top ten side....... if promotion happens brilliant.
Lets get everything else ready first. Do not run before we can walk.
Lets get some young guys in we can build around along with old heads. Yes this may put us a few years back from the initial fantastical statements of a couple of years ago. Build slowly and be thick and strong from it. Have the ground improvements done and the infrastructure that will hel with finacial backing in place. We do not want to get to the promised land only to return 12 month later.
We need a manager for the long haul and make his name in Barrow folklore. Not a quick wham bam thank you mam.
Trust me..... in my line of work similar to Mr Casson this is what we need and I know he knows this too

Re: The Next Barrow Manager
Firstly you don't own the club.
Secondly, you are not in any position to make promises or change those made by Paul Casson unless he agrees with you?
Thirdly any business should have a vision and timeline.
You state you are a businessman in same line of work...... I hope this in telecommunications and not football.

Further blue future,
We had three young players who were developing...... then sold under orders from the owner. You can't surely agree with this as from your post you further the opposite?
Get real.

Too many ! Over to our owner it's not our fight or choice. He will solely make his choice in next ten days. We have no input or say.

Re: The Next Barrow Manager
This is agood thing forvthe club. Players will see that if they come here and perform they will move on. In other words a club that is a stepping stone to the football league. Brilliant. Nothing wrong with a reputation like that for up and coming players.
