Aye. Just like "nobody" knew things like signings before they were announced. The people I have spoken to in the past have usually been bang on with regards to club news and I doubt that they would gain anything from telling me about Paul Cox sudden (if you could really say that) departure.

Sure, things aren't exactly screaming out investment at the minute but you even admitted yourself that you are forming an opinion off stuff that is not definitive. Maybe try waiting and seeing what happens in due course rather than slating the club for something you aren't actually 100% sure about yourself.

I wouldnt put it quite that way but the still relatively new Head of Football role might put off potential candidates who are used to doing things their own way. How will all work with the next Manager.

Once a Manager (in any form of business) has his authority demeaned (and it certainly looks that way) you can hardly expect him to hang around long. Can you Imagine how Alex Ferguson or Bill Shankley would have reacted?
