I don't think anyone will doubt what Paul Cox did for the club, but I don't see how you can write Micky Moore off as an "average assistant" already.
An "Average Assistant" who has won 1 in 3 games, two of which were played after 1 day with the players (In the immediate aftermath of Cox leaving too). The game on Saturday, especially the first half, was the best I have seen Barrow play in ages. And that was after the first (almost) full week of training with MM.
By your reasoning, Paul Cox was a manager who won 1 in 5 after several weeks + pre season with them.![]()
My point is Moore is an average interim - his interviews haven't struck me as awe inspiring and the games last week were truly appalling. On top of that we have delivered two very poor results and a decent win albeit against a poor BW.
What track record has Moore got - serious question? Has he managed to get a team out of this league, has a built a club off the field, has he ever worked lots of money (or alternatively a shoe string budge), what is his recruitment like? Has he a track record of imprinting a philosophy and improving players? Serious question - I don't know if Moore has any of these skills.

Where is the excitement in him? Hes only managed one side, a side which was in the league below and that was for 4 months before he shot off to be an assistant again. If he was appointed would he fill the fans with confidence about getting the owners unrealistic ambitions of promotion at all costs met? Probably not. Remember, 7th isn't good enough. Even if it's the play offs this year, it's not good enough.
Then again hes on a fairly long contract so its a case of the club having to pay him off should they bring in a new manager and new assistant.

Re: The Next Barrow Manager
If it happened wouldn't Bignot be manager and Moore his assistant?

No. Bignot has come to work for Moore, not the other way round.
Roles can change - look at Guiseley's last management team. Dave Penney who had previously managed several clubs was the assistant.

And bignot has been mores assistant before so it doesn't really matter, as explained here http://www.nwemail.co.uk/sport/barrow-a ... 1d523d1-dsLancaster Branch wrote: ↑Tue Sep 05, 2017 7:43 am No. Bignot has come to work for Moore, not the other way round.

Sometimes it can all just fall into place don't know why people can't just give them a chance.

Re: The Next Barrow Manager
You say Boreham Wood shouldn't be causing us problems.
Please take into account that before Saturday Boreham Wood were 7th in the league and were unbeaten on the road
Draws at both Fylde and Tranmere and a victory against Torquay.
How about being abit more respectful of the opposition. Saturday was a very good result

Saturday was the 1st time in a while where the players actually looked like they were enjoying the football they were playing.
We aint going to win the league this year, and I think we have enough about us to stay away from the bottom.. but who knows what will happen, let them be for now I say...

Speaking of Fylde.......Adam29 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 05, 2017 10:36 am You say Boreham Wood shouldn't be causing us problems.

If he was allowed to sign the players he wanted ,a Paul Cox Barrow side wouldn't have seen that as a good win. He would want improvement and would be devestated with a loss to Fylde and a draw with maidenhead.
Sat 5th: Dagenham & Redbridge 2 - 1 Barrow AFC (Jones)
Tue 8th: Barrow AFC 0 - 0 FC Halifax Town
Sat 12th: Barrow AFC 3 - 0 Woking FC (Yusuff, White [x2])
Tue 15th: Solihull Moors 3 - 3 Barrow AFC (Nieskens, Jones, Paniyatou [Pen])
Sat 19th: Dover Athletic 1 - 1 Barrow AFC (White)
Sat 26th: Barrow AFC 1 - 1 Maidenhead Utd (Diarra)
Mon 28th: AFC Fylde 1 - 0 Barrow AFC
People keep saying this squad is a decent one. One win in August after playing 3 of the promoted sides, Woking and Solihull is extremely poor. Dover probably a good result considering the options Cox didn't have available and Dagenhams being a very tough place to go, but if Casson wants this league won you have to beat those sides who will be at the top.
Getting 2 points from 3 games against newly promoted sides is laughable.
I think by 5 pm on Saturday some of these fans will have woken up and will have seen what the club has in terms of players and options.

Boreham Wood had also beaten a good Aldershot side 2-1 and hammered Solihull Moor 4-1.Adam29 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 05, 2017 10:36 am You say Boreham Wood shouldn't be causing us problems.

Before Saturday they had only lost to top of the table Dagenham & Redbridge and 3rd placed Wrexham.
