I don't think we deserve a lot of criticism today. We played fairly well. Had a goal ruled out that no one has an idea why. Could/Should have been 1-1.

Couldn't go today but sounded like a very intriguing game, where perhaps Barrow backed off in the second half, inviting too much pressure. Andy Wood put the goal down to teething issues that you have from implementing the new style of football. Whereas Moussa would've put the ball in the stand a few weeks back, he has tried to take a touch and has been robbed by the forward. Think if MM gets two wins from next two, the job is his. He has tried to implement his own methods and I think by and large the players have responded well to that.

Undeserved and gutted!! Unfortunately It took a mistake to decide it by a player who always gives his all.
No idea why our legitimate looking goal was chalked off by the liner.
Next to nothing given our way all afternoon and it just rankles a bit.
Bit strange at the end though it looked like Micky Moore was waving goodbye when he and the players came to aknowledge us all at the match end, unless it was to family in the crowd.
The bus is in high is in high spirits though.

Deserved at least a point today if not more. Moussa to blame for their goal no question, hard to be too critical when he won everything for the most part. But then saying that he's got a mistake or two in him every game. Made two today and it was only by luck that the first one never cost us. Missed an absolute sitter too right on half-time.

What our goal was disallowed for I have no idea, looked a perfectly good goal and the header came straight from a throw-in so can't be offside.

Second half we were better than them for 25 mins then seemed to tire a bit and allow them to get on top. A little bit more care in the final third and we'd have come away with three points.

Two moans for me. First and foremost, the officials were amongst the worst I've seen in a good while. We got absolutely nothing from them, McNulty and their other centre-half were all over Harrison and Yusseff all game, yet more often than not the referee baffled everyone by giving Tranmere a free-kick (ably assisted by his equally inept linesman).

Second moan is Adi Yussuff. I was quite excited when we signed him but he had a nightmare today. Whether its confidence or what I don't know, but time and again he had opportunity to run at the immobile Tranmere defence but failed to do so. He wouldn't run at them, his passes usually went astray and he failed to hold the ball up when it came to him. He really was terrible, and for me looked disinterested. He's got to up his game quite considerably based on today.

Not a lot wrong with today's performance, except the inability to find the back of the net. We competed all over the field against a physical team who never missed an opportunity to play the man rather than the ball. In this, they were aided by a referee who happily turned a blind eye - or was it just an incompetent one? - to all their challenges. Not that our defenders were shrinking violets; just that the referee took a delight in punishing every minor indiscretion.

As to why our goal was disallowed, the highlights may give us - and the referee - a clue. Certainly the man in the middle initially gave it, only to be overruled by his assistant. If, as has been suggested, it was a foul, then the referee would have been far better placed to see it.

The stoppage time winner for Tranmere was a sickener, but after applauding the team off the field the Barrow supporters trudged out of Prenton Park disappointed but not disheartened.

Certainly, we will play far worse than this and win games. Providing of course that we get match officials who don't regard neutrality as an alien concept.

I agree with most of that. Yusseff is a handful but he givess away too many obvious fouls and then doesnt get the 50/50 decisions. Saying that he did most of Harrisons running for him. Gutted not to get at least a point. Mcnulty best Tranny. They are mid table team at best. Nieskins challenge looked lime a twisted knee. Could be out a while. Thought Audel did well as his replacement. Why oh why did Moose not whack it????

Intersting as this was completely the opposite view to the Tranmere commentators on Radio Wirral who said that they had been told to watch Harrison but that they had been more impressed by Yussef who they rated very highly.
