As someone who has read this forum and never contributed - I now cant help but get involved and give my opinion.
I think you will find that Liam Hughes is 100% on weight and ready to play - he has been dealing with some serious medical issues over recent times which have impacted his weight - medication etc. I have heard this from a family member of his at one of the games in the stand.
Correct, he is not a winger (how many 6'4 wingers with blistering speed do we know!) - Liam is a proven attacking centre midfielder who has experience of winning promoton from this league with Cambridge Utd (he scored the winner in the playoff final) - over 200 national league and football league games for a man who has just turned 25 is a great achievement. He is probably coming into the best years of his career.
If he is played in his natural position he could be a key player for the club. He is a popular member of the team and from what I gather is a really nice lad - the personal stuff on here needs to stop.
True, he did not have the best of seasons last season - he certainly is no lionel messi - and he may not have met up to peoples expectations - but the game is all about opinions isnt it? :)
Lets all move on and get behind the team and our players.

I'm taking no notice of Tom Brownnose and keeping this healthy debate on topic.

Hughesy is a wonderful human being on his day - that delivery to Bryon at Bristol Rovers in the cup was simply magical. We all know he has the credentials of being a top player for this club and I hope he returns soon.

Darn it! A brand new forum poster! I got it wrong! Keep up the personal taunts of other users and one of our players and that will inspire regular non-contributors! Interesting comments by the way, nice to see

Agreed. When he lashed in that goal against Aldershot in the first game of the season last term I thought wow - we have a world beater here. However, he has disappeared more times than Debbie McGee.
We will foller the soccer, over land and sea...

If people were questioning his fashion sense, music taste etc. I would accept your opinion, but a major requirement of being a professional footballer is being fit and it not beyond the scope of fans to question a players fitness. I don't care if Hughes was the size of a house if he could preform at the highest level he is capable for 90mins (like McNulty does), but the fact is Hughes cant, he is blowing out of his arse after 20 mins.

I agree with several points of your statement, he isn't messi and he ain't a winger, but it says something if successive managers have seen him as nothing but so what does that say.

Him being a nice lad is all well and good but does this actually matter? not to me, if we had a team of [SwearFilter] who won promotion I wouldnt care one bit!

he will be well paid (I'm sure with your family connections youll know more about that) and since he arrived I have been overwhelmingly disappointed given the resume you proudly quote - I hope he improves as no one wants to see our lads under-perform, however, I think hughes needs to improve all aspects of his game and fitness.
And on the 7th day god created football

Liam is 100% on weight - been suffering from depression - and the club have "let him go" - says everything about the club at the moment.

From the sounds of it the assistant commentator suggested he'd been released
