My vote for Holt wasn't a joke either - none of the experienced options really do anything for me, and as above, Holt at least has some 'star quality' that can lift the place.
So many examples of complete novices doing well - many have failed miserably too. But my issue with those saying it's ludicrous is, it's good enough for lots of league clubs to do this, but why do some people think we're too good for that?

My opinion is that Holt seems the sort of person who would strike up a rapport with the players, has played under some very good coaches, I'm sure, and is also as qualified as any manager we're likely to attract.

Definately worth a gamble. Experiance doesn't guarantee success just as inexperience doesn't guarantee failure. Might even get a better inter-connect between players and supporters too. I can't think of any other premier league player co-commenting on a game involving his previous non league club either.

What I mean is he has been close to the cutting edge and will more likely have more respect for what he has done and also know a good few contacts

But forgot to add...... I would like Grant but cant see him moving his young family from one end of the country to another. He also has a new radio show i believe so i would think a job nearer Norwich would be more sense for him......Is Giggsy still in Manchester?????

Surely he wouldn't have publicly expressed interest in the job if he wasn't willing to relocate.

I am warming to the idea of Holt and the positivity that it would generate amongst fans. He gets Barrow and that would instantly connect with the fanbase. Everyone else on the list wouldn't perhaps have the same rapport. Look back at when Bayliss and Sheridan were given a chance and the positivity that generated. It would be similar with someone like Holt. However would he be up for it? Where does it leave Moore, who has in the short space of time put his own mark on our approach to the game and has been a little unlucky with results. Perhaps Holt / Moore? Moore / Holt

Moore and Bognor have totally changed the way we play in 5 matches

If you can't see that its a difficult thin to do then you need ain't got a clue about football


We've looked in the main like a good team at this level and over the rest of the season I would expect us to develop and become one if the better teams In this league

Moore and Bognor have done it at this level before and were highly sought after

They will get it right if given the chance

Who is to say Holt will not be the next Alex Ferguson? I also agree the same with Moore.
The thing with Holt is I just thing an ex premier league player must surely have some good contacts, plus he had played for a good few clubsbin his career Nottingham Forest being one and having good contact there must be a good thing. The last two loanees we had from them were superb

Bignot arrived saying he didn't want the managers job and within days threw his hat into the ring for the Chester job. Maybe covering all bases but doesn't fill me with enthusiasm if he was offered the HS gig.
