Re: Spirit of 1990
You do know he might not have wanted Moore as manager either right?

Ian is a decent guy and it's not fair to even ask him!
He's not pulling the strings he's on the board but we all know which 2 are making the decisions

Mickey Moore was head and shoulders above the other candidates.
He shares the same vision as the club and is the right man to lead us forward.

I've been hiding behind the settee all night.
Nothing much I can say is there? We all had our own opinions on who would've been the best choice, I'm no different.
I was saying to a former member of this forum today, the club take the opportunity to release the manager statement 23 minutes after his ban gets lifted...you couldn't write it could you?
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

i know you probably can't say but I'd love to know who the other options were!!?? Were any other CV's even looked at?
Abysmal appointment that ignites nothing amongst us locals and fear away trips to Brackley and Blyth next season beckon.....

Re: Spirit of 1990
Since Austin Straker has gone how many sit on the board and do they discuss such things as managerial appointments or is it just down to Casson to rule the establishment? In that case why have a board at all?

Look at when the new club was formed and the new board took shape it was dismantled in a matter of months!mickycarrol wrote: ↑Wed Sep 20, 2017 9:48 pm Since Austin Straker has gone how many sit on the board and do they discuss such things as managerial appointments or is it just down to Casson to rule the establishment?
