Spirit of 1990
Re: Spirit of 1990
Hardly fair to title a thread of spirit. I can't imagine he sat there with the men making the key decisions when after all he is working hard to liase with fans. Having met him at a local car dealership in Preston just outside of winsford I can summise he probably had little to do with this appointment and can make no further comment

We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

This is sounding more and more like the eggchasers when Johnstone was in charge . A board full of yes men, lets hope what happened to them does not happen to us!

Re: Spirit of 1990
I am led to believe Spirit of 1990 is a member of the Board of Directors. If this is true, can you please reveal the list of other applicants to become head coach? I think this list of coaches would make very interesting reading.

Sorry but that would just be unprofessional and unfair on those applicants.South Yorkshire Blue wrote: ↑Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:17 am I am led to believe Spirit of 1990 is a member of the Board of Directors. Having their names on this website would put them in the shop window for other head coach positions.Bluebird_john wrote: ↑Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:18 amSorry but that would just be unprofessional and unfair on those applicants.South Yorkshire Blue wrote: ↑Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:17 am I am led to believe Spirit of 1990 is a member of the Board of Directors. Really?, Do you honestly believe chairmen of other clubs read BAFC Unofficial so they can choose their next manager. I like to try and get answers to questions wherever I can SYB, but I don't think I'd get permission to put a list of applicants up on here.South Yorkshire Blue wrote: ↑Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:17 am I am led to believe Spirit of 1990 is a member of the Board of Directors. Re: Spirit of 1990
I just don't believe anyone else was seriously considered. A list of applicants won't alter that.
Tons of time for Ian, despite disagreeing wit a lot coming out from the club.
In a difficult spot, this thread doesn't really help.

Nor do I. If they were they must have been the worst list ever to apply for a National League manager's job!barrowaberdeen wrote: ↑Thu Sep 21, 2017 12:44 pm I just don't believe anyone else was seriously considered. A list of applicants won't alter that.

Re: Spirit of 1990
Got to say something-very rare for me. ok so Mr Moore is not regarded has ideal but he did try and get the guys to play football at feet has Paul Casson told him to after genuine moans from the fans about hoof football. Give the guy a chance...ok Guiseley wasn't an ideal game due to conditions and Torquay wasn't pretty at all. Something was not right on that day...Cox told them all to do his hoof tactic which worked but was awful to watch. Lets judge Mr Moore at Christmas, give him some chance. Oh and leave Ian alone he is more committed than most on here.

Re: Spirit of 1990
The problem Moore has is yes Paul Casson wants fooball to feet (which i personally like) but the players assembled were brought in to play a total opposite way "square pegs in round holes!"
Re: Spirit of 1990
correct nige, we must give him a chance there aint many 6ft + guys that are good at foot-ball
