Re: Reduced admisson price for Leyton Orient game
At long last a positive move to attract floating fans . Marketing a football club isn't rocket science but you just can't rely on the same people turning up week in week out which would seem to have been our strategy over the last few years.
Now for the first time the club seems to have done something positive on the publicity front, well done but things like this should have been done ages ago.
The fact they've done this now would suggest that those who run and work at the club clearly read this forum and clearly feel that the locals aren't happy.
I think Paul Casson has done a great job for the club but if I was to find fault it would be (a) he promised far too much (b) I don't think he appreciates that people expect value for money in whatever they do these days. Football isn't cheap when he turned up at Holker Street in the early 60's it was a hell of a lot cheaper and there wasn't much else to do. Times have changed yet it would appear the club's marketing strategy hasn't. But maybe it is about too. Onwards and upwards..

No I am saying it's a good idea and a good move but as an idea it's nothing spectacular, anyone could come up with it, so if you are saying the club has seen it on here and acted then good! - nobody has reinvented the wheel. The Real Slim a former member of this forum wrote: ↑Thu Sep 21, 2017 2:52 pmRight, so someone on here suggests to reduce the price for non league day and thats nothing spectacular.
The club does it and its a good move?
Make your mind up Charlie.

Worth getting an advert on The Bay like Morecambe do when they have ticket promotions on?BahamasBluebird wrote: ↑Thu Sep 21, 2017 2:46 pm This promotion is due to Non league day being on the 7th October and has been in the works for a while. Sorry to disappoint
We will be pushing it a lot on social media and in local schools and hopefully it will be well supported as others have said.

Re: Reduced admisson price for Leyton Orient game
I am saying the idea to reduce the prices could have been come up by anyone as an idea its very simple and common sense. The idea itself is nothing spectacular. I very much doubt the club saw someone say it on here and thought - oh that's wonderful why didn't we think of that - because as an idea it isn't unique. The Real Slim a former member of this forum wrote: ↑Thu Sep 21, 2017 3:28 pmNeither do I Charlie. But putting it in place is a good thing and lets hope more of these kind of things continue.

Positive step by those involved within the club. Just hope it has the desired effect and attracts a few more stay aways.

Good move, but is it an attempt appease the supporters following the negative reaction to Moore's appointment as head coach? Maybe Spirit of 1990 could confirm?

Good effort by the club, regardless of where they got the idea from.
Will try and pester a few to come along to this.

Re: Reduced admisson price for Leyton Orient game
I see a certain individual has returned and still continues to believe that Barrow AFC revolves around him - oh my when will he learn. A lot of the price reductions for non league day are across all of the 68 football clubs included in the national league, they created a list of ideas that the different clubs could use to help with the increase of attendance on the day, and potentially increase footfall during the season.
This list can be found online and is available for anyone to see but of course the idea could have only possibly been thought of by our one and only.
