I recall a few seasons ago when we barely had a first team getting fined £75 cos we played a weakend side. How many would have attended this fixture? Very few travelling from Barrow I suspect. I agree it should have been posted that we had withdrawn though.

The problem isn't us pulling out as such the problem once again is communication. Andrew Casson says they want transparency with fans, if that's the case then a statement about this should have been on the website rather than a fan having to discover what's gone on

No mountains, no molehills, just "a squad that doesn’t seem to have any major weaknesses" unable to fulfil a fixture in a tournament that is part of every season, and no statement from the club about it, and seemingly being happy to pay a fine for not playing a football match. I'll look forward to us withdrawing from the FA cup as we are very unlikely to win it anyway.

I'm sure people will have opinions whether that is an issue, or a non issue, but to me it stinks of 'do you think we need the money'.
I can't think of a season where we have just pulled out of the Lancashire cup. The youth system can't be doing to well/ perhaps isn't trusted because this would have been ideal to play fringe players in with the u18's.

If they can't fulfill this fixture then I would imagine better preparations will need to be in place should the club start and Under 23's/Reserve side.
Obviously not going to pull out of the FA cup. Secondly, We may not be able to risk fringe players in this fixture as they may be needed for Saturday due to this unfortunate pile up of injuries.

2 pm kick off on a Wednesday afternoon is a ridiculous time for a game to be played .
U18 players had been asked for availability but would have to take holidays from work or miss college to travel without knowing if they would even get on the bench never mind play .
6 players from previous game must play unless both teams agree otherwise ,
probably good alround we didn't fulfil fixture with problems it may have caused but poor communication non the less
