No longer, yes and yes.

You may also presume I have travelled somewhat and tend not to be shrouded in negativity.
Your reply is slightly off the point I was trying to make which is: Barrow is probably the most isolated place on earth.

You replied with: 'If you seriously believe that you should try getting out more'
Followed by your comment above.

Both your replies aren't relevant to the point I was trying to make.

It's common knowledge that Barrow is known as the longest cul-de-sac in the world due to its isolated location.
And yet we have attracted so many quality players from around the world due to the stadium, walney beach and the excellent night life.
Ronaldo next?

Cabo San Lucas is about the same population as Barrow and I had always regarded IT as being at the end of the longest cul-de-sac in the world. There may be some more isolated places but surely this is the longest drive in and out again.

Because it then goes out over the airwaves as being representative of the general consensus, it is the reason why the dross from the chuckle brothers (Azalea and Pedro) posted relentlessly on here is so divisive.
So you think he values the opinion of a former member of this forum and Pedro more than yourself or anyone else who thinks all is well?
I don’t think he’s got specific people in mind when he hints at Holker Street doom and gloom, but it’s the nature and intensity of posts from particularly those two who feed a general impression. Being a broadcaster/journalist/media man anything to try to justify a story. I think Azalea knows exactly what he’s doing in his relentless posts - trying to de-stabilise the club and influence/irritate those who read them. Pedro sadly just doesn’t have a clue what is going on.
Incidentally I don’t for a minute think all is well. However, I am going to continue wholeheartedly supporting the club, (with many others). I hope Andy Wood will get the message that there is a positive force amongst many supporters and the aforesaid chuckle brothers and some like them are not wholly representative of the mood.

I personally think a former member of this forum ( don't get the childish use of azalea, are you 12? ) and others make some very good points. All support the club, they recognise there are a whole raft of problems with the way club is being run at the moment. Are you saying those problems shouldn't be spoke of? My own is, these problems should be spoke of relentlessly until the powers that be get their arse in gear and start running the club properly.

mall wrote: ↑Tue Oct 03, 2017 9:58 am As far as our commentary goes, what we are short of is someone from this town doing the commentary-ie-someone who has the club at heart, someone like walshy at Workington.

There's somebody already there and he sits in the same press box as Andy - his name is Adam Johnson from Radio Lonsdale.
Listen to his commentaries on line and you will hear the passion of a true Barrow supporter who has a good commentary style about him. I hope gets a chance with RC one day. He paints the picture of what he sees which must be very difficult at times the way Barrow are playing at the moment. He also has an excellent sidekick in Matt Ryder. The two complement each other very well - no stupid drivel - just football.

If the BBC wont do that then bring James Phillips back down here -

please NO - an immediate turn off - literally - with his self important waffle trying to display his so called knowledge. I know someone on here thinks he's a great commentator. He may well be when he actually commentates. One of the times he was supposedly doing commentary at HS he almost missed a Barrow goal and Goody had to interrupt him to point it out, as he was talking about something completely different.

and let this Andy Wood commentate on Carlisel as thats where he is from. It would be interesting to see if he moaned as much 'then' about travelling from one end of the country to the other as Carlisel is miles from anywhere even as the crow flies.

I think I do but too many naive or Sycophants who no doubt celebrated Vaughan coming to Barrow.
But I have to accept your view as it is just that
I am in no doubt PC was a stop gap solution but it's not took long to start to reverse the progress that has been made.
Ive only supported Barrow for 50 years and seen some things but what's happening now is worrying.
If you honestly think what's happened over the last 4 months is stability .
There are alot on this Forum are also worried and I am sure a few plants to try and smooth over what's been going on
But it will be Barrow fans who will have to join together and help the club once the Texan moves on.

Despite the Q&A on Friday you still come out with the same old dross.

I would like you to tell me who the Texan is as I always thought Paul Casson was a Barrovian who now lives in Texas!

Pedro, 'sycophants' try to gain an advantage through obsequious behaviour. What advantage do you think anyone on here is likely to gain by brown-nosing Paul Casson?

Think the dross is the way the club is organized

You said he was a Texan and never mentioned the passport.

It wouldn't surprise me if he has a US passport. However he is still a Barrovian by birth who lives in Texas!

Keep up with your diatribe.

It's about opinions and not going to stop having them just because people think there view is the only view not 1939 Germany.
