Re: Ogdens Nut Gone Flake
No Ogden Potentially makes the departure of Moore a more easy decision if we continue to lose games
Re: Ogdens Nut Gone Flake
Not really sure what Ogden brought to the party TBH.. plus if he's resigned there'll be no pay off?
Re: Ogdens Nut Gone Flake
What's going on?
I can't believe what's happened since start of season.
I hope Paul Casson can get us through this.

Re: Ogdens Nut Gone Flake
I did think about it. I thought about the fact that Ogden worked as a scout for the club for quite a while and would have seen at arms length how the club/Cassons worked. I thought about how the Cassons, from their various statements, clearly valued his input as a scout. I thought about why he would have taken on the position of Director of Football if he didn't like the modus operandi and I thought about how many times he has been praised in his short tenure for the value of his work. And then I thought about him buggering off and leaving us in the doo-doo (if, indeed, he has). bluenige thinks it must be something "really big" to make him resign and he might be right - none of us yet know - or, of course, it could be something really selfish. I'm trying not to look at it through the prism of: club bad, everyone else good. There's two sides to every story etc.russell_anderson wrote: ↑Thu Oct 05, 2017 4:25 pmMaybe you should think about it and wonder just why all these "football people" are leaving the club? I have and it defies logic that there is not a very big problem somewhere near or at the top when they all want to leave.Nigel Bamford wrote: ↑Thu Oct 05, 2017 3:25 pm If true, my opinion of 'football people', which I thought couldn't get much lower, has reached new depths.

Re: Ogdens Nut Gone Flake
I heard a rumour concerning Paul Cox's 'resignation' which could also relate to Ogden's departure.
Apparently, Cox had an agent checking out players, before Ogden's arrival - he didn't attend games himself - as was thought by the club. Money may have changed hands too. Casson found out and asked him to 'resign'. It makes you wonder?

Far from cash strapped.
Steve Herbert supports the nob theory - Saturday 4th February 2012.
If this bus crashed and everybody on it died, Barrow football would end - Daz Boyle, Boston away, August 9th 2014.

Even the C.I.A would struggle to explain some of the mysterious goings on at Barrow AFC in recent times.

So you all take the word of the guy who said he had left a few weeks ago and was a total lie. I for one will wait until it is confirmed from a more official source and not someone stirring

Yes I Agree. Therefore it's right the onus falls on him to continue and correct?

Re: Ogdens Nut Gone Flake
Outside of some poor luck with major injuries, Paul Ogden has done a great job assembling a squad that doesn’t seem to have any major weaknesses

Ogden resigned a few weeks ago but was talked round. It was even mentioned in AC's club update.
Resigned for good on Monday
