The Poll: Version 2 vote for your choice of manager

This only ever went when Cox was manager who showed we could compete at the right end with the bigger clubs. Soon as he went and Moore came in those feelings came back.

Just read an article suggesting that a contributory factor to Mills' dismissal at Wrexham was that he was unlucky to have his "star striker" out injured for some time. Said striker, so the argument went, had the skills to bring in and get the best out of the players around him, such as Rutherford. And who was this talisman? Step forward Jordan White.

And people now want Gary Mills, who was just booted out by a club in the division below???
Probably best to listen to some comments from the fans of his previous clubs - pretty sure York and Wrexham fans wouldn't recommend him.
But I think that's who will get.

Will be another cheap appointment and the cycle will keep repeating itself.

Would Gary Mills be really that unpopular? We appointed Paul Cox, who got promotion from this league in 2013. Gary Mills got promotion in 2012. It would be an appointment surrounded with far more optimism than that of Micky Moore (surely). Not sure how his attacking football style fits in with the current group but surely he would be a viable option.

I don't understand why Gary mills should be wanted? He has had recent failure.
There are better managers available.
They will apply.
This time it's worth waiting to get the right choice with a tight contract.
We require a very experienced one to pull us up.

Graham Barrow if he is still free. Left Chesterfield too late to get the Chester gig where he would have been welcomed back like the Messiah,Experienced at all levels of the game . If not I'd go for John Sheridan. Jurys' out on Mills. My Wrexham supporting in-laws don't rate him but its a well known fact that Wrexham fans are very demanding as they still don't believe they belong down here with us plebs even after ten years.

I think we should give a few of the players the job to share...worked well once before

Yes. He's a loser. He somehow got York relegated in his last job. Losing can be a hard habit to get out of.
