Dean keates wouldn't leave Wrexham unless he's on the verge of being sacked
Re: The Poll: Version 2 vote for your choice of manager
At least they're advertising/getting a shortlist/interviewing this time.30 interested/or being contacted is a hell of a lot better than last time when they were waiting for Moore to win a couple of games.just my opinion, but time will tell

Mentioned on RC tonight that former Sheffield United and Barnsley defender Chris Morgan who was caretaker manager at Port Vale until last week is amongst the applicants.

Port vale struggling at moment and in relegation battle. Maybe he is not a good caretaker?
If there's thirty then I would hope there is some decent ones there? Paul cox?
A vital appointment without doubt.
Get it right and we can be up there in April.... get it wrong and we go down. No pressure then but I feel they will get it right this time

Only caretaker for their last four games (one win,one draw, two defeats).Soulboy wrote: ↑Fri Oct 20, 2017 10:34 pm Port vale struggling at moment and in relegation battle. Maybe he is not a good caretaker?

One win out of four? Luxury!

Gary Brabin along with Chris Morgan was mentioned by Andy Wood as potential no-nonsense candidates who could get us performing again.

Chris Morgan has virtually no experience as a manager.
Gary Brabin has just been appointed a coach at port vale so it won't be him, I wouldn't think.

Re: The Poll: Version 2 vote for your choice of manager
Morgan has had coaching experience at various places but only caretaker management experience at Sheff Utd, Chesterfield and Port Vale I think, so it isn't that he has had no experience and "you have to start somewhere". I think he could be considered if he comes across as having the correct philosophy to take on the job, but who actually knows. He was a pretty brute-ish centre half from what I can remember, who had an uncompromising nature so he could be someone who could sell himself well to the Cassons.
Brabin said he was more than happy when scouting at Sunderland and was not looking to move when linked with the Chester job, but then went to Port Vale with Aspin, so once again who knows. Things change quickly and he could fancy it if he is being considered.
