17/18 VNL - Chester 3 - 2 Barrow
Re: Chester v Barrow match thread
3 -2 absolutely gutted!! Got a foothold at halftime, maybe undeserved, but second half we were the better side. Then. we conceded to that!!

You don't half talk craprussell_anderson wrote: ↑Tue Oct 24, 2017 9:53 pmIt's what you get when an owner has decided he has had enough of putting money into a club. The owner has effectively withdrawn from spending anything other than the absolute minimum. Don't expect to see a manager who knows what he's doing (in fact, no decent manager would even contemplate working for a club in Barrow's current state!) and don't expect any decent players to arrive as they would cost serious money. You could see one or two of the few decent players leaving though with some stupid story about them not fitting the current style of play! A few nonentities might turn up who will play for peanuts as a sop to some fans (you can fool some of the people some of the time!) and no doubt the new manager and any new players will be hailed as world beaters by Andrew Casson!
If he's withdrawn funding then we wouldn't have the players we have and we would have stuck with Moore. Things aren't great but that's all part of being a Barrow fan, the last side that went down would have been on half the money this lot are on

Re: Chester v Barrow match thread
Feeling gutted. I spent money I could ill afford on a season ticket this year. Feel I’m not getting any return for my money. It’s about time Mr Casson repaid the loyalty of those fans who support the team through thick and thin and allowed the money that was made from transfers in the off season to be spent on some decent players. Otherwise, it’s relegation at the end of this season. And if so, it will take a long time to get back into this division....if ever we do!

Just a little aside here but Bayliss had a weekly wage budget of £3,600 at its lowest and less than £5K at its highest. I don’t know what we pay now but we do have the players, Moussa and Dave N. big losses.... just sayin .

Didn't you witness the effort put in paul!! There is a unhealthy pattern forming but the football gods say it evens itself out as the season progresses. Still hopefull that our turn is just around the corner.

Popular side since '03.
Re: Chester v Barrow match thread
Relegation would have us being in a league that looks a whole lot tougher than it was just three seasons ago. Don't even go there.
