The club and cox both have a lot to answer for this season, and we just need to rally, stop up and write this year off and go again. Need Diarra, Fitzpatrick and Jones back from injury sharpish, and tbh probably one or two more good, conference standard players in there.
About spot on.

We over-achieved last season then cashed in on some prize assets. We recruited badly and things have not exactly run smoothly behind the scenes (understatement of the year). Backs to the wall time now when we find out who the real fans are. We should be used to fighting relegation battles in this league and if we recruit the right man then we have a squad good enough to stay up assuming we add a few battlers in the mix.

9 month plan - cost cutting via relegation
We are seeing a exit strategy
And what good would a relegation be to a business owner who has plowed his own money in to? Your as deluded as my bloody missus is!!
So you think he is investing now?
Why disband a good team?
Sell the best players without replacing then with equal or better?
Why does a CEO just leave, then the Physio, the Manager, the Chief Scout after being promoted?
I suggest you are right someone is deluded look in the mirror

AC said it was Ogden who built this side that contained no weaknesses?

That shit unbalanced team you talk about was on a four game unbeaten run when he left
He kept saying we needed another four players
Now on the verge of three managers later almost everyone is saying if the new manager can't bring in some new players we are in trouble

Think Cox was doing well and if he had been allowed to bring in further players at that time then we wouldn't be in this mess

For the life of me can't see anything good in Cox leaving the football club

Only how it appears to me

The only person who was desperate for Paul Cox to leave from Autumn 2016 onwards was Paul Cox.

What does that tell you about the situation at the club?

HE WAS NEVER GOING TO STAY.........what's hard to understand about that? He had a massive budget, blew it and still wanted more.....at what point does any owner anywhere say enough is enough?

How about because he wasn't interested and wasn't recruiting properly because he wanted away.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Care to explain how that would work for the owner?
Lower wages
Less cost as not full time
Less travel costs
Reduced running costs for commercial side , ground improvements etc.
Even the Caretaker Manager has said we need more players as did Paul Cox as did Mickey Moore
Only person not saying it is Paul Casonova
Lessons learned from casson I guess ia he wont sanction more money unless the new guy can show real intent and get team as it ia playing and also finding players who will fight fot club! Ita been a real atrange season to date but injuries and luck have played a part! Mm was a bad choice but he probably sold himself well in interview? There ia no desire from pc to have ua relegated! Now put your efforts into helping the cauae, its back to the walls time and we need people behind the team not shit stirring and causing unrest... However, if I am proved otherwise about your theories, I will happily oown a shop front, call it woolworths and gladly shoq my bottom for a day :-)

And we didn't need him spending and wasting any more €£££££

But we needed to hire a manager to take charge of a squad assembled by Paul Ogden which had no weaknesses and we chose the one who clearly wasn't good enough who now has to be paid every week for the next 2 and a half years.

I can follow the idea of lower costs which you have suggested in different ways but I was curious about your explanation for an 'exit strategy', which you have ignored.

(Name-calling is rather weak, by the way, don't you think?)

I was thinking more about the 6 or 7 resignations that have happened in the last quarter hinting towards the club being run like a sack of shit.

Pedro has always been the same since he first started posting - anti establishment, anti Casson.
He’d rather be proved right about his own divisive theories (see above - “shit stirring and causing unrest” [trying to] ), than see Barrow do well. Relentless negative posting of a bizarre kind. No loyalty as far as I can see.
It’s been a soap opera so far this season, but sadly it’s real. Maybe even pantomime rather than soap opera. There can be no public enquiries with Barrow and the situation that has arisen. We are reliant on the integrity and openness of those in the know to pass on information. The lack of information feeds speculation, particularly on here. To my eye things seemed to start imploding when Simpson left without explanation. Amongst other things we’ve lost a physio, two managers, 3 top players (understanadable) a “director of football”, a couple of directors and above all we are in danger of being bottom of the league by 5pm on Saturday. As I see it as proper supporters (not Pedro/Azalea types) we are currently over a barrel. No one wants Casson out, largely because there is no one to follow him in. We want more transparency, but we won’t get it because sadly the dynasty have demonstrated that that is not what they are about. Nothing particularly unusual about that, but could have hoped for it at a small club, and it would have fostered great relations between the owners and the fans.
Over our barrel, we can hope for some messiah like manager to be appointed and galvanise the existing squad to perform above themselves. We can hope for a handful of good players to arrive. For my part I don’t want much - firstly complete commitment from every player selected to play, and secondly, appropriate integrity and openness from the administration.

I do not normally comment on here but reading through it and looking at what everyone is saying. Let’s go back to when Casson arrived first season, we did what we had to do to gain promotion. Brilliant, good season. We then stabaliesed the following season, good season. We then progressed and finished 7th last year a good season. So we have had 3 good seasons in my opinion and we have had 4 different managers.

I believe the Casson’s paniced after a couple of bad results early doors, now they are trying to learn from their mistakes this season but they can’t identify the mistakes they have made because of their lack of knowledge about football.

Now they are sinking fast and getting desperate, we have over 50 applicants and we will still appoint someone like Gary Mills who has just been sacked from a club for getting relegated.
