The guy didnt want to be here and used barrow as a means of building his own name. Look at how he left mansfield, exactly the same way as how he left barrow.
He will do the same with guiseley too mark my words.
Biggest game of our lives against rochdale FA Cup 3rd round.
Where was Paul Cox the Friday before it? In Nottingham trying his hardest to get the Notts County managers job.

The whole situation in the summer with hartlepool came because cox's agent told hartlepool all they have to do is agree terms and cox will go for free.

Yes the club have made mistakes
But you seriously have your head in the sand if you are painting paul cox out to be the messiah in all of this

All cox's fault that Barrow are playing shite and aren't being run properly then.......
He threw the rochdale game away.. he blew a wad of money that you never get back, he wanted out before crimbo last year. Ao yes, he has a big part to play..

I think its hilarious. Its all starting to shine through. People warned you of this and got banned/told to [SwearFilter] off.

There is a reason why players are handing in transfer requests and staff are resigning left, right and centre and its nothing to do with the previous manager that most were creaming over at the start of the year holding him and Ogden as the best things to ever happen to the club.

How times change....

Threw the game? Are you for real?

Ogden assembled the squad, the club have stated that and need to take ownership whether that squad does well or badly.

Im not saying its all paul cox's fault. Im saying that he is as guilty as our current board. They need to share the blame for the situation we find ourselves in.
Only difference being cox has gone now, the board have a chance to rectify things by bringing in somebody to save the present situation

Flying? They've won once in the league since he went there and still sit in the relegation places.
Unbeaten in 5,lost only 2 from the last ten since Cox took over. Also through to the FA Cup first round. Do your research.

I have, they're not unbeaten in 5 and the fact still remains that they've won one league game under Cox and sit 4th bottom. I don't think that can be classed as 'flying' by anyone's standards.

Genuinely interested why Ogden doesnt get as much flack as Cox is? Fair enough people have opinions on how cox left etc but surely Ogden had just as much influence if not more according to the club in spending money. So if the teams shite, we spent too much money etc etc Cox didnt have the run of the place, theres plenty of other people equally if not more to blame.

We need a new manager in as soon as, couple of new signings if anyone is out there and grind out a couple of results. Relegation is unthinkable as i cant see us getting back out of the conf north.

He always said that....always.

HE WAS NEVER GOING TO STAY.........what's hard to understand about that? He had a massive budget, blew it and still wanted more.....at what point does any owner anywhere say enough is enough?
Bluebarrowman wrote: ↑Wed Oct 25, 2017 6:24 am For the life of me can't see anything good in Cox leaving the football club
How about because he wasn't interested and wasn't recruiting properly because he wanted away.
Thank you for response, two sides to every story and its a bit clearer

On your second and third point, was this evident before Hartlepool interest or after?

Whats Barrows form like without Paul Cox, Adam?

Unbeaten in 4 . My apologies. Forms massively improved at Guiseley with a squad that was up until recently part time. They will improve under one of the best managers in the league whilst Barrow get relegated. It will still be Paul Cox's fault then I guess.

A part time side (until recently) with much better form than Barrow who have a massively higher full time budget. Also in the first round of the FA Cup with one of the best managers this league has ever seen. An owner with plans he is actually putting in place.

Maybe not flying but definitely not 5 losses from 7 and getting knocked out of the FA Cup to a pub team looking for its third manager in as many months with backroom resignations becoming a monthly occurrence.

The new manager will also have a budget supposedly higher than Paul Cox had to get us out of this mess. If we appoint the one that all signs seem to be pointing to then we will have a manager who turned around a struggling team and then lead them to their highest ever finish two years in a row. A lot of our 1k+ wages which are being spunked on players that either no longer want to be here and/or are just not good enough are coming to an end too so that'll be more that'll hopefully be reinvested wisely.

Our entire club is down in the dumps at the moment but I reckon a new manager (who isn't Micky Moore-esque) will sort it. The new manager will be sorted soon and we can get rid of those who've used us for a wage and can't be arsed. It's hard atm but we have got to keep positive. A lot of vitriol aimed at the club for the way they manage things but this is a chance to get it right. E.g. Just look at Forest Green. Spent £££ but struggling now. Lots of people were green with envy at the money doesn't guarantee success. It helps and stuff but is it worth £5 million spunked just so we get to play Gillingham.

The Cassons have a big chance to get it right and if we announce who I am anticipating (thanks sources and Barrow Twitter cock ups #NotYet) then we will be fine. Apologies for waffling on but thought it's about time we started looking forward with positivity.

If the preview hasn't lied to me then my cryptic clue will remain intact too

...yes I am bored.
