Time to get serious

We cannot get relegated into the league below, it will be nearly impossible to get out of with the bulk of quality and money in the league now.
It would be a case of 1 step forward 2 back.

I know I'm staying the obvious slightly but it's time to get serious and big decisions are needed to be made not thought about.

- Exit door for certain people at the club from top to bottom
- Loan signings we have aren't good enough
- Fans Forum at the club ASAP
- Unfortunately with the position we are in the money we made on our best players last year will now HAVE TO go on investing in the current team and set up to keep us up not other plans
- High profile manager with League 2 / top end Conf National contacts
- 5 Quality players (Def, Mids)

We don't need one. The new management team (with Conf and League 1/2 experience) will be announced very soon and will be given a decent budget to get us out of this mess. We will stay up, get rid of the dead wood and kick on next year.

I would want the next manager to line up the entire playing squad on the touchline and tell everyone who wants to play for Barrow to take one step forward. However many (or few) there are, they should be the backbone of building a new team. The rest can either walk away (and let's face it, Harrison won't be arsed to run) or they can put themselves in the shop window by being professional and putting the effort in until a replacement can be found.
If we are going to go down then I want it to be with a team of players who care about it, who will fight to stop it, and who will form the basis of a fightback next season.

Casson himself has said the budget is 30% higher than last season. It's well known that PC wasn't happy with the way Cox was with his budget (blitzing through it then asking for more). The new manager will free up some wages and will agree a budget before accepting the job, anyone would be stupid to accept a job without knowing the limitations.

It's clear various people in the support have various "sources" giving differing and opposing viewpoints of what may or may not be going on, whether that's friends of agents posting players gripes, fans talking to Casson on whatsapp and posting snippets of optimism, directors PMing people on here or social media or whatever.

It's all just a bit toxic at the moment, this forum is being used as a proxy for peoples personal agendas rather than the good of the club, and those who are the mouthpieces are being used to the detriment of the club, but lapping it up in order to look in the know and important.

Fully agree, there have been many toxic posts over the last few months which, whatever there (or their) intention have been damaging to the club. I can't see any logic to it or understand why people seek to damage the club's reputation or spread rumours or whatever. It's very sad. It's bad enough on the pitch right now without having to read constant sniping. Hopefully with the new manager will come new optimism, new ideas, new players new everything and an end to bullshit agendas. It's becoming harder and harder to read the forum and contribute, especially if you try and give any type of positive opinion. The club has been in much much worse situations than this over the years. It needs every supporter fully committed to survival, as well as the players and management. We can stay up, comfortably, if everyone is pulling in the same direction.

Anyway, for what its worth I don't think we will get relegated and think we will be okay comfortably (the wonderful world of spending power will save us,*) and to coin some bullshit management phrases its good to make mistakes if you learn from them.

Lets just don't do it again next season eh fellas.
