Re: New manager
If it is pennock is that a good appointment? Never really followed him or know what he's like. What sort of football can we expect?
Re: New manager
Who leaks all these rumours . Is there nothing confidential?

Re: New manager
Seems like he has spent his playing and management career down south, bit of a strange one if true and last 2 jobs resulting in his sacking, however experience of this league and a million times better than micky moore

Re: New manager
If it is Pennock he did especially well with Forest Green, with two record place finishes in the Conference (5th and then 2nd). A couple of record winning streaks in their as well. Always found it bizarre how he was sacked a week before the play-off semi final in 2016. FGR played with a bit of intelligent "snide" under him as well, working the ref and knew how to win. With decent contacts, would potentially be a good fit. We look like we are releasing funds for whole-sale new players as well.

Re: New manager
It's rare (if ever) that I get to hear of any rumour let alone leaks and to be fair it could be a heap of doggy doo but in this case I suspect not.

Re: New manager
If it isn't Gary Mills I am content.
Ady Pennock growing on me as an idea. He worked for Pulis at DStoke for a long time, helping sort some undeprerforming big strikers with Rory Delap, at full back who's incredibly long throws caused all sorts of bother. Wonder if that could help us...

He is also a Gentleman. Very polite and built a smiling rapport with our Fans. Only negative, he carried his "Love one-nil wins" philosophy too far, bordering on football grinding monotony.
Still, as above, attained our highest psition of second in the Vanarama National League. Don't know what he would make of the hard Northern image though, should he get the job.

Re: New manager
Followed the sacked Justin Edinburgh at Gillingham but 4 wins in 32 saw him depart in September. Sounds like Gillingham was a bit of a mess as well. Good non-league pedigree though.
It all comes 'round again.

Re: New manager
1-0 wins wouldn't be a negative here though. In our current situation i'd love a run of 1-0 wins. Sounds like he can grind out a result which is what we need atm.Fartvs Antiqvvs wrote: ↑Thu Oct 26, 2017 5:31 pm He is also a Gentleman. Very polite and built a smiling rapport with our Fans.
