Re: New manager
Whoever it is there’s no great pressure on him this season. He arrives with Barrow 3rd from bottom and out of the cup. All he has to do is make sure Barrow don’t get relegated. Easy.

Does he know what the weather is like up here?

Re: New manager
I see Karl Marginson has left F.C. United by mutual agreement, been there for 12 years, good northern contacts.
Re: New manager
He did have the biggest budget and arguably best squad at his disposal though.glasgow_blue wrote: ↑Thu Oct 26, 2017 5:47 pm1-0 wins wouldn't be a negative here though. In our current situation i'd love a run of 1-0 wins. Sounds like he can grind out a result which is what we need atm.Fartvs Antiqvvs wrote: ↑Thu Oct 26, 2017 5:31 pm He is also a Gentleman. Very polite and built a smiling rapport with our Fans. Only negative, he carried his "Love one-nil wins" philosophy too far, bordering on football grinding monotony.
Still, as above, attained our highest psition of second in the Vanarama National League. Don't know what he would make of the hard Northern image though, should he get the job.![]()
As ever, prepared to give him (or whoever the new manager is) time to impose some authority. We need someone who is more bothered about grinding out results than playing fancy football, so he could be the guy.
Re: New manager
Carl M is apparently a decent guy but without experience (and possibly the right knowledge) at our level and hasn't been able to take FCUM as far and as fast as required.

Re: New manager
Says in the mail that assistant and fitness coach lined up and a player sounds very positive
If it the guy people are saying the assistant could be Jamie day who is an experienced operator.
Surprised through if true - thought Casson was running the club down ready to build houses on the ground - thought he would have gone for a local unknown manager to secure relegation

Easy to say better or equal will replace players sold or let go and the same was said of Cox's replacement
Tell me of any club in the league position we were in last season that actually would have such a exit of players and staff.
If you think what's gone on in a space of a few months is progressive keep off the spliffs.

Re: New manager
New guy has a bit of pedigree and will no doubt shake this place up good and proper! It could be a merry Christmas after all. . Still a lot of points to play for, not just a relegation scrap imo.. we have done it before, can we do it again?

Re: New manager
Im hoping pc is re energised and will put a bit more cash in and we get a good man in i think he was let down by some of the stuff that went on last season. I liked coxy but seems he was a bit of an arthur daily character .
