What do we have to do to create the once excellent atmosphere at hs?
Recent times I feel our lack of passion on the terraces has made hs a nice place to be and not intimidating for opposition whilst giving our boys a lift and being the 12th man!!
Macc came to town on Saturday and made plenty of noise which no doubt gave their a lift..
1600 in attendance and its like a wake..
For me, the football and the atmosphere go hand in hand and makes the whole thing more fun..
Does anyone else think the same or am I really loosing the plot in my old age?

Roof on the holker end...no brainer..both sets of fans under there...ask our strikers if they would like it......fraction of the cost of what the crossbar end would cost...however wouldn't add much revenue to the club unless had its own food outlets either end....would enhance the ground appearance by loads and raise the noise levels...especially outside with the new housing estate

Sorry, but I have posted on this so many times.

Before I say any more it is each to their own in terms of what you want to do in a football ground.

You could take a look at the stewards and police thread for one of the factors but it's far from the only one.

UB won't happen again. And it didn't do that much for the vocal atmosphere at home, just set the scene visually/club identity etc well IMO.

I would love a group of young lads to get a grip on that terrace, even if it was a bit naff for a few years but half are banned and the other half..well you'd have to ask them.

A lot of folk who used to be part of these things have got young kids now or just got bored and nothing has come to replace them

Middle aged men actually joining in instead of talking about that flaming roof on here would help.

Not that time of year again.. Just making a point. Even a few "barrow Barrow" chants wouldn't go a miss..
The noise the travelling guys do for the club is nothing short if brilliant.. Just can't understand how it doesn't happen at home no more?
I know its down to each individual and that's fine..
But as a kid, at Barrow, old Trafford, anfield or wherever.. It was the atmosphere and the hairs on the back if your neck standing up that made it more special!
The kids in Saturday in the arrowsmith stand made a real good go of it and I'm sure many would follow suit if the ultra esq type support could start again..

There's also a lack of flags and banners. And I don't mean the ones made by the now defuct Ultras.
We must be the only football ground in the country devoid of them! Quite strange...

We've won three times in four months - hardly a lot to shout about from a club that was knocking on the Play Offs door last season.

Still a lot of disappointment and disillusionment hanging around the place.

Nothing wrong with the atmosphere against Aldershot it's up to the team to keep possession and pressure on teams to generate some reaction out of the fans !
As for the roof maybe but we've had cracking atmospheres Oxford league and cup Wrexham tranmere it depends on weather the occasion and as I said the players.
