Always remember Dave Bayliss saying he wouldn't touch a player that had an agent. I know times have changed since then but it's a statement that tells its own story.

And look at some of the signings we made under him who were utter dogshit.

Not defending Bayliss by any stretch of the imagination, but then again what manager hasn't made bad decisions, even at the highest levels, as is shown by the Premier League casualties in this early part of the season?

It was his dislike of agents that I was trying to highlight and in view of recent events, both in front of and behind the scenes at Barrow, who's to say he was wrong?

There'll be others out there who are better and don't even cost (Gomis this season alone) I think he's improved over the years, but he's definitely replaceable.

No, that's fine mate, just didn't want you thinking I was saying players these days "love" clubs.....few and far between in this day & age. I would say we've had our share over the years but it's becoming a rarity now.

Is the alleged behaviour from the agent punishable by the FA? IMO it's up there with tapping up, he's (allegedly) basically flouted that his client wanted away and was available. Depending which side of he fence you're on it's a clever/sneaky ploy. I can't see Paul Cox being an angel in this either; there were a few clubs who complained about his methods to try and bring players in (Matt Rhead is the one that springs to mind).

I know that agent guy is a Barrow fan but if it keeps him away from Barrow AFC in a professional way then every cloud has a silver lining. Any players not wanting to be here should go. Tapping up players and unsettling other clubs is part of the Paul Cox game plan.

Lets hope the new manager sorts everything out and is allowed to run the football side of things.

Great news. Cox obviously had his strengths but making the club more professional wasn't one of them. Looks like an excellent decision from Casson.
