Weren't most of the culprits from the atherstone game all Nuneaton fans anyway? Or am I making that up. Could make for an interesting day out.

I still can't believe we got beat by [SwearFilter] Shaw Lane. Sounds like a Southern Rail village stop on the way to [SwearFilter] Dover.

Think most of them were Villa, Birmingham City etc. fans with a mix of other higher level teams e.g. Newcastle.

Four were Nuneaton.

I've heard that a few Barrow ladz will be traveling with 'payback' in mind...
This game could be a fixture best avoided - depending on your personal viewpoint and intentions.
Definitely not one for the faint hearted.

Lancaster V Stockport/Southport
Workington V Hartlepool

Both of these games look far more attractive and safer options...

There were many 'innocents' who were attacked at Atherstone - they had no intention of becoming 'involved'.

Many who traveled from Nuneaton for the FA Trophy fixture against us in the late 80s (I think) will have sour memories of being ambushed as they walked up Holker Street from Barrow Rail Station. Groups of Barrow 'fans' lay waiting and then descended upon them from the adjacent Duke Of Edinburgh pub.

This fixture is a potential hazard!

Completely different situation. That is just an unprovoked attack on people minding their own business

We've 'played' Nuneaton loads of 'times' since 'then'. Nowt has happened.

I can’t see that many going to this. Personally out of all the teams we could have had an away trip to Nuneaton is the one that appeals the least to me.
