Look at the star struck young man in the middle, literally can't hide his excitement.

Dan Jones and David Fitzpatrick now available for selection. Has Fitzpatrick actually played for us this season in a competitive fixture? http://www.nwemail.co.uk/sport/barrow-a ... 310b3ea-ds

It seems easy to blame him, but Micky Moore probably rushed him back too early.
Fitzpatrick looked decent in the few pre-season games I saw him.

I'd almost forgotten about Fitzpatrick. Again a bit of a strange one. His pedigree is good and when I saw him in pre-season I thought he was going to be really useful. A wide player with pace and a decent cross in him. Definitely not just a squadee - unless you have grandiose ideas of the breadth and quality of squad you are going to end up with.

Cox then did his mysterious act of signing what looks to be a really good player and then not starting him and then he got his injury. So he's become forgotten. Both he and Jones also have a decent shot in them and of course there is Jones' throw.

So both players will add to our current capabilities and its good to have them back.

So you're saying he played at Sutton whilst injured...?

In fairness to VDN I think there were questions about his fitness almost from the point we signed him. I was probably being a bit hard on Cox as there weren't too many opportunities to play him or when he was available.

Its just that when he played he did look good. I think he turned out for AFC Wimbledon and/or Stevenage last season so he is plenty good enough. Don't think the supporters have seen much of him so his return wont be celebrated as much as some others who are more familiar.

His return could be really good for us therefore if he can stay injury free. Almost like signing a new player.
