What people on here seem to have a problem with is anyone saying a bad word against Barrow. Andy Wood is hugely positive about Barrow, but then one word that is construed as 'negative' and he's somehow anti-Barrow. Don't be so childish.

Someone who travels the length of the country to cover Barrow, when he doesn't really have to, can hardly be anti-Barrow.
Its like the game we love, its all about opinions, and they do differ. AW is not "hugely positive "about Barrow, infact I would class him as hugely negative. He travels the length of the country to commentate because its his job. I do though massively appreciate Cumbrias commentaries over the years. My opinion.
Yeah, but we've heard your 'opinions' about lots of things, and they're usually nonsense.

Exactly, its his 'job'.
They are all the same up in that far flung neck of the Woods. They are always fond of saying "Barrow have a long journey here" and a,"Mammoth journey there". That terminology is never used when its Carlisle playing away which is surprising when they must do the most travelling of any football league club !.

Andy Wood does a good enough job of reporting what’s in front of him imo. Can’t believe this rubbish about being anti Barrow, he’s far from it, but yeah I’d agree Cassidy is. I don’t want to listen to anyone blowing bubbles up my arse but telling it like it is and you can understand during flat times in the game when the commentary might wander a bit.
Personally I think the comparison between RC and any other reporting station is unneeded and only serve to promote a rival station but the choice is there for all

If there was a rival station that would be the case but there isnt.
We are a hospital service that started broadcasting our football out of hospital on request from people mainly ex patients who enjoyed the coverage. We are not nor want to be considered a rival. Bbcrc dont even see us as that. They are the bbc if they saw us as a rival or a problem they would have us stopped no questions asked.

As people have said already lets just enjoy the fact we have 2 rafio stations and a newspaper committed to covering our football club

All interesting comments, but this has gone way off the original thread of Halifax v Barrow

A magnificent result. It was inconceivable just recently that we would win 3 away from home on the bounce. I'm far away from home in body, but Barra soccer is in my blood, bones, heart. A truly magnificent result. Cheers lads, and lasses.
