Have we gone back in time to 1976 all of a sudden?

We got pay back in the legal way. They were jailed. Over and done with.

Re: FA Trophy First Round Draw
Some awful nonsense on here. We've been to Nuneaton, it's a rubbish trip. Someone shouted at Stu. There was a rugby club. It's in the middle of nowhere and likely as not the only reason I will go might be some misplaced guilt at not going to Woking (yet again) as I am watching Aberdeen at Parkhead.
As for Atherstone, only ever listen to the folk who were actually there that day. on that subject.

Talking about such "payback" on a public forum which anyone can read is as stupid as the people who want to throw stones at busses!! With public opinion of our club already tainted we don't need idiotic statements like this! Ffs.. This is not green st and let the football do the talking

Four were Nuneaton.
I've heard that a few Barrow ladz will be traveling with 'payback' in mind...
This game could be a fixture best avoided - depending on your personal viewpoint and intentions.
Definitely not one for the faint hearted.
Lancaster V Stockport/Southport
Workington V Hartlepool
Both of these games look far more attractive and safer options...
I've merely pointed out that this fixture could be troublesome. Two of my friends were assaulted at Atherstone. I've 'heard' that some will be traveling (not my friends) with revenge in mind. I've also pointed out two fixtures that look far more attractive and safer. I suggest you re-read my post...and get off your high horse!

You have heard nothing of the sort - but a lot of your posts are obsessed with violence in the past.
I was at atherstone and for a moment it was very frightening.
You and your pathetic comments are making it more dangerous - whipping it all up.
I'll stick with my original post - grow up

Will be too cold to fight and probably postponed due to it being flippin' freezing. Nuneaton are unlikely to benefit from any warm coastal currents (Nuneaton I believe is very close to Meridan, being the farthest place from the sea in England). Also forecast of more bad weather to come. Be interesting to see how many games we actually end up playing in December.

Re: FA Trophy First Round Draw
Hi guys, Nuneaton fan in peace.
I have just read some of the comments on here regarding the Atherstone match and I would just like to point out some facts as someone who was there that day, and also got caught up in the violence that happened.
I was at the game in the covered terrace on the main stand side with my Grand-dad. We usually go ground hopping but decided to stay local as it looked like a decent match. Anyway, we decided to go in to the 'un-official' away end as we knew that the Atherstone 'fans' has been letting smoke bombs in earlier rounds and I didn't want my Grand-dad near the smoke.
So we were in the covered terrace next to the main stand with you guys when it kicked off. It was at this point I somehow managed to get my Grand-dad out and to safety.
The reason I mention this is because I had good views of the guys that were attacking Barrow fans, before, somewhat during and after and as a Nuneaton fan of 25+ years, I can categorically confirm that I had never seen any of those individuals at a Nuneaton game or as part of the group that cause trouble at Nuneaton games at I have witness trouble at Nuneaton games on several occasions.
I have heard that a couple from the group were from Nuneaton, but they were not Nuneaton fans or part of the group that usually cause trouble at our games.

They both attended the game at Atherstone. Both were contacted by the police to provide evidence. They probably travelled on the same coach as you, if you travelled to the game. Neither have any intention of revenge. If you re-read my initial post you'll note that I wrote that I'd 'heard' that 'some' have revenge in mind.
My 'pathetic' comments were designed to point out the fixture could be troublesome (from what I've heard). Neither of my friends will be attending the Nuneaton game and neither have revenge in mind.
Don't try to make me out to be a liar. Carefully read member's posts before over-reacting!
And as I've said - get off your high horse!

To be fair to Bingo you do seem to get a semi on if violence is mentioned.
