Shame. Was good, really seemed to become a committed part of BAFC in a short time.

Good luck to him.

Sorry to see Dave Nieskens leave, but as he was likely to be out for the rest of the season it is perhaps best that he concentrates on recovering from injury and gets his career back on track. As other have mentioned he did seem to be a committed member of the squad; even after picking up his injury at Tranmere he made the effort at the end of the game to hobble on crutches to salute the Barrow fans.

Best wishes to him.

Good luck to the big man, great character and massive heart. Hope he gets fully fit and carries on to be the team player we’ve seen here

Not liking this at all.

Sounds like we've dumped him when he's crocked. Not really a great way to treat someone.

Stop stirring!!

If you read the Mail he said “It was hard to make a good decision and hard that I cannot play this season anymore but I will come back so don't forget my name! Once a Bluebird always a Bluebird!”
That does not sound like somebody that has been dumped and badly done to

Only if you listen to one sided tales. The club, unlike posters on here, will be bound by confidentiality restrictions and that's how it should be. I don't think the player concerned can feel badly done to if he has made those comments as reported in the Evening Mail. We have supported a good few players on long term injury breaks, Andy Parry in particular at the moment. Dave's family back home will help him in his recovery I am sure.
Good luck to him and thanks for his efforts and commitment.
