Trust/club Christmas foodbank appeal.

Post by spirit of 1990 » Fri Nov 24, 2017 11:08 pm

There’ll probably be a post tomorrow off the Bluebirds supporters Trust but just to give as much notice as possible, if anyone wants to donate to the Christmas foodbank appeal it’ll be open from tomorrow morning.

Once again Paul Casson will be generously matching all items donated.

If you have anything you wish to donate please drop it off at the reception desk, if you need items to be picked up drop me a PM.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

A quick thank you to the gentleman who PMd me today with a substantial cash donation for the food bank appeal. He wishes to remain anonymous but it’s fair to say it was a very very generous offer.

As with last year, we’ll get the best deals we can on the food to make sure the money goes as far as possible.

After some discussion with AC, on behalf on the Trust, I am also going to e-mail local schools to try and support this initiative. A great gesture by the Cassons and club to double the potential gatherings and also the Community coaches led by Craig who are going to collect from schools. A really good joint effort all round, in a good cause.

Thanks to a former member of this forum and his work colleagues at BAE/SQS for raising £100.13p with a bake-off style competition, I'll collect it off him this week and put it in the pot.

The club has already made deliveries to the food bank of donated items as they have been overwhelmed by the response. Heaven only knows how much this is going to cost Paul Casson as he hasn't put a ceiling on his contribution. I am sure the recipients will be grateful to all those who have taken the trouble to try and ensure those less fortunate have a Christmas all kids deserve.
