Att given as 450. Didn't look it. About 50/60 Barrow. Good effort.

Re: Nuneaton v Barrow match thread
Not sure there's ever been a thread entitled "The worst winning performances ever seen" - but this would've been up there. Not that any of us turning up should really have expected much different. Whilst this was no second team AP clearly wanted to see the likes of Jones, Makoma and Audel (bench) so the line up looked odd. Pitch was heavy and Nuneaton were gutsy if limited. Poor Byron Harrison looked like he'd drawn the short straw when picked to play and this was reflected in an incredibly (even by his standards) lethargic performance. Whilst our lack of pace has been noted before I think they took it to new lengths today particularly when approaching the opposition penalty area where several of them seemed to nod off before giving the ball away.
Even for the most optimistic BAFC supporter this was tough going despite the fact that with Nuneaton being mainly being a team of dwarfs, it was painfully easy to see that the ball over the top of the defensive line was so bleedin' obviously going to be the way to beat them. Unfortunately no one seemed to be able to summon up the energy to act on this meaning that attacks seemed to repeatedly peter out on the 18 yard line.
Nuneatons players, small and enthusiastic kept the ball on the ground and whilst most of their attacks were dealt with, by and large it has to be said that they looked more likely to score - marginally. Praise should be given to Moussa and Dunne who on he most dangerous occasions put their bodies on the line. Walters also stood out from the shower. Macoma looked like a French schoolboy in the centre of the park. Jordan White played......well like Jordan White. Fitzpatrick, Yusseff and Gomis came on late and this improved the speed of transition from defence to attack and in the last 10 minutes Nuneaton started to tire.
The goal was totally in keeping with the rest of the game and came just as the tannoy was announcing yet another 4 minutes of play to a cold and pretty depressed Barrow end behind the goal. Their keeper had looked suspect all game but it seemed that we were never going to test this since he was so rarely tested. He flapped at a corner, managing only to put the ball straight onto Byrons head with an open goal beckoning. Even then we had to hold our breath as the ball wobbled and finally dribbled its way across the line.
So none of the above actually matters and I like the rest of the faithful gave them a standing ovation which the team quite rightly looked a bit sheepish in accepting. What a hypocritical sod I am.
