The food bank volunteers had to make TWO van trips today to collect what they had left earlier in the week, keep an eye open for the picture in the Mail....it really was an impressive mountain of food.
I also took several reasonably sized cash donations to the food bank this afternoon, and we still have a sizeable amount held in the Trust account that will shortly be sent to them.

The lady at the food bank asked me to pass on their thanks to everyone involved and also to all those who contributed.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Perhaps the food bank requested this instead of doing van runs themselves, saves money etc.?

Amazing work being done here, well done to all involved

I’ve let the club know we’ll still be taking any late donations. If anything is dropped off I’ll pop in tomorrow, and drop it off at the food bank.

If it’s closed, drop me a pm and I’ll pick it up off you.

I called in at 12.30 today and was redirected to the church. Seems like the message hadn't got through

I can only apologise to you. I sent the e-mail yesterday morning and I'm unsure of what happened after that - but I was busy all day and when I checked late afternoon, I hadn't received a reply so I can only guess they hadn't read it.....I think they were a bit short handed yesterday so that was possibly the reason.

That's a fantastic amount of food. Well done to everyone who thought of those less fortunate and made a difference.

Lots of Community stuff seems to be going on but this Food Bank & Free Match tickets for the disadvantaged are very good initiatives.
