Instead of dishing out bans and getting police records these kids need educating on how to behave themselves and steered away from trouble before it follows them into adulthood. A police record at such a young age may mess up their chances of getting jobs, travelling etc. What a big price to pay for a moment of bravado with your mates. As others have said, I really don't think the tweet by Barrow Police to "come and get your flag" helps things either? Maybe the club / police / schools can work together to develop some sort of education programme to steer youngsters away from this kind of behaviour at the football.

Agree with these last few posts, Educate them & steer them in the right direction, Yes it’s in very bad taste to mock the young lads death from a few yrs back & stupid to write that on the flag etc but the mass hysteria on FB is OTT

There's plenty of teenagers who go to the football and don't act like tits - nobody's branding them. You're clearly mates with some of these lot, so you must know that they have no intention to watch a football match. It's the only place they can enjoy a bit of a conflict without getting their arses handed to them by bigger boys.
