Wonder who stayed over. Pennock obviously doesn't like the attitude of some of the players and needs to speak to them individually to find out how committed they really are. We are in a scrap now until the last kick of the season. I don't care how we do it now but we must start picking up points in the league starting with Saturday - our biggest game of the season.

On another note, I always thought of Holker street as a place where the opposition hated coming - because of the atmosphere, the weather (usually) and our players who would be up for the game. Seems like our players hate coming here more than the opposition. Why would you sign for a team unless you loved playing at home? .. these are the questions pennock needs to put to the current players and potential new recruits. Our home form has to improve

Wonder if any other team in our league asks players to pay for their own hotels.

The worst home performance this century featuring a dysfunctional, de-motivated, uninterested rabble of lead swingers who have had the sheer good fortune to find themselves at Barrow because no other clubs wanted them. And Pennock isn't without blame for that performance which was TOTALLY DEVOID of any professionalism, organisation or spirit and that was ultimately down to Pennock who has been here nearly three months – the usual probationary period in most jobs. Desperate, desperate night at the FBSS.

Agree but the club is struggling for finances.
The squad of players are not good enough .
Keep changing the Manager will not improve that.
We have had several months of who can we blame, the Owner appoints the Management hence Paul Ogden's important promotion without Paul Cox knowing which I think was done to provoke his resignation
How long did Mr Ogden stay after his important appointment?
But now the goings got tough we have been left in the capable hands of Deputy Casson as Pappa rides off into the sunset.

I wasn't at last nights game, so can't really comment. If I could get a hotel room in Barrow in midweek for £25 maybe I would have come.

I actually feel we made a massive error not agreeing to play the game to a conclusion on Saturday, it must have cost the club more to put the game on than it made on the gate. Saturday is more important than last night in the position we are in.

I feel a bit sorry for the Cassons, Ok they made promises they have not kept to and this has caused a fair amount of disappointment leading to people being turned off by the club BUT they have spent a fortune on the playing side, we have players being paid big wages I bet our budget does not reflex our position in the table.

I always feel we are run by a bunch of enthusiastic ammeters doing the best they can with the tools in front of them. Things have improved but are we anywhere near being more sustainable, I doubt it. The answer to that has been to, it appears, make further cut backs. Our facilities are terrible, commercially we are still poor. The community stuff is getting better, which is good.

Unless we can off load some of these players, I can't see anyone else coming in anytime soon. Hopefully the players read this and go out and show us what they can do on Saturday and we can stay in this league.

Prove us wrong players.

It's there own fault for being shite and not winning on Saturday... I'd have charged em 50p each for the leccy meter too.

Sort of on the fence about the stopping over stuff. I don't think it was really neccessary and I'd guess thats how the club saw it. There would have been nothing wrong with travelling up at dinner time IMO and it wouldn't have made much difference. As other people have said, Brackley sat on a coach for about 4 1/2 hours, arrived 45 minutes before kick off, and absolutely did a job on us. Can't be arsed with the usual suspects on here accusing Casson of asking players to pay for their own accomodation just to fuel their own agendas. On the other hand, if your manager asks you to stop over, for the sake of £25 surely you'd just do it?

There is so much deadwood left mostly by Paul Cox it's unreal and that is the reason we are struggling. Most of these don't give a shit either and it shows on the pitch. Questions need to be asked of Pennock though, I can't believe we set up with one upfront at home against a lower league team, no matter how good they are in that league.

Really hope Pennock is supported to bring in whoever he wants and get rid of those he thinks aren't good enough. They've had long enough to prove their worth and they haven't. I've said I don't think we'll go down but I'm clinging onto that.

Very poor last night.

Ady needs to get his own players in and dump most of the squad but difficult this time of year he has to play the cards he has.
We need to find some decent loanees with a bit of fight to get us through to the end of the season and stay in the league.
Midfield has been light all season. Never rated Harry or Makoma both can go for me.
I'm worried we will get battered on Saturday if the attitude from last night is not sorted. Coxy will want to prove a point.
Holty will be back to give us a bit of passion.

Missed Holty and Jones last night not sure if we would have had a different result though.

Dunne is the biggest loss Audel and Diarra as a CB pairing going into a relegation battle frightens me.

As for the £25 thing do other clubs ask players to pay towards hotel costs?

Do other clubs as small as ours have players on £1500 a week?

I hardly feel 25 quid is a bad deal for what will probably be abbey house. I will agree that it's not of great importance that some did and some didn't stay over. It's England for God's sake were never more than a few hours away. Having listened to the game I understand some fault lies with the manager but the 11 out there sounded like holker (no disrespect guy) would have beat them.

Time to be a bit harsh to a few methinks from management and owners.
