Let's not improve the keeper, cos we need a defender more... great logic.Pedro wrote: ↑Wed Jan 17, 2018 7:47 pmThink Moore has been badly treated.boyliegladbach wrote: ↑Wed Jan 17, 2018 7:32 pm Moore will go. Was moaning to people about not playing enough at Brackley on Saturday
It's a established midfielder and defender we need,so what do we do bring in another goalkeeper.

Re: The building has started!!
Logic no replacement for Livesey or decent midfielder let's get a goal keeper now that is logic not
Re: The building has started!!
So you would rather not upgrade the keeper, preferring instead to stick with an inferior keeper? You are every bit as rational as your posts suggest.
Re: The building has started!!
You seem to miss the point you can have the best goalkeeper in the world but when you have poor players in front of him you will concede.
Your rational speaks volumes for you let's sign 11 goalkeepers that will sort it out.
Let's not get a defender to replace Livesey or a decent midfielder.

The purse strings have been very tight.
I hope you are right because even the best supporters are being driven into the ground by what's happening at Holker Street.
We are being taken back to the days when we first got kicked out of the league and the crowds are going that way too
Re: The building has started!!
No need for a calender. Pedros back so it must be January.
Re: The building has started!!
My rational(e) is that if a better keeper is available, let's have him. If you can't see that as a positive, then there is something wrong with you.Pedro wrote: ↑Wed Jan 17, 2018 9:56 pmYou seem to miss the point you can have the best goalkeeper in the world but when you have poor players in front of him you will concede.

Re: The building has started!!
Maybe manager thinks new keeper will command his area better then Dixon and organise our defence better which needs it no Dunne gone.Dixon not particularly vocal

Re: The building has started!!
If we'd signed three other outfield players and then a new keeper, we'd all be celebrating landing a guy with a really decent record at this level and above. Clearly you get what you can when you can. We've also put him on a contract to the end of next season which shows both commitment and optimism.
We're now reducing this thread to a meaningless debate about the priority and sequence of the players we bring in. A good signing should never be underestimated. This looks to be a good signing and should be celebrated especially by those on this forum that have been banging on about Dixon since the moment we took him because it probably means AP agrees with you. Moore has been an odd one and I agree has received the thin end of the wedge. But he wasn't APs choice for whatever reason and the manager has now acted. This is good news at a time when there isn't too much about. Lets treat it as such.
If AP wants to sign the rest of the entire Gillingham squad that he left a few months ago in the bottom 4 of Div 1 he's got my support. It'd be more than good enough for the NL.
