Calum McDonald

Sorry if this has been mentioned elsewhere but according to the Hartlepool website on the team news preview:

'Barrow boss Ady Pennock is doing his best to negotiate a deal which will see young defender Calum McDonald return to Holker Street in time to face Pools on Saturday.

The youngster spent two months on loan with The Bluebirds from Derby County and there is hope that he will be back in the squad this weekend.'

It was in the Mail that they were trying to get him but nothing about whether they have been successful or not

Certainly brings the right attitude and desire for one so young. Address our shortfalls in midfield next and we have fighting chance of survival.

Good news, but it does mean we’ll end up with Jones on the wing all season rather than an actual winger

It was said tonight that he would hopefully return to training next week and as long as he had no reaction to his knee, i.e swelling then he will step up his training.
