Hardly any cars on the Cemmy Hill and barely a soul about down by the stadium; only the floodlights indicating a game was on. However, the team did put a shift in and might just have shown enough fight to stay up. James a revelation - I hope that was his normal type of game - MOTM by a country kilometre.

Roll on Saturday now, really could do with 3 points down there!
Two consecutive good performances have been a rarity - if we can do it on Saturday things will be looking up.

Well done to the Barrow fan on our forum who predicted the result and your goal scorer ;)

I thought we had a solid reliable nine to eleven hundred fans, last nights attendance was a disgrace-absolute disgrace. Shame on You that decided to stay away. Armchair football is all you're going to have one day.

I predicted a low attendance but I didn't think it was going to be that low. We got more on a tue night in Conf North.Very fickle Barrow fans.

Agreed on one hand Barrow folk (the rugby included) are fickle, crowds go up when we’re winning. However I don’t think these low crowds lately are really what that it is, people have just fallen out of love with the club and once every people stop going/find an alternative leisure activity it’s extremly hard to get them back; really does feel like if we are serious about community involvement this is the year we need to be radical and do £100 season tickets or something

Regarding the attendance...I don't blame people for not going at the moment. People can be called fickle fans if the team are trying but not getting the results they deserve but still the fans don't come. However, for way longer than is comfortable, the team has been putting in dire performances, absolute dross. Nobody should be expected to fork out for what has been on the field this season.
Last night was a great battling performance. I left the ground thinking we had been robbed of 2 points, because only Barrow looked like they deserved to win. If I wasn't a ST holder I may not even have been there last night based on the many previous performances. The return of the fans is in the hands of the players and the manager. Keep up the performances like last night and they will come back (slowly).

Indeed , and what about "fans" that come on here to run the club down , unsettle players and make rumours up ?

I know that !- I work shifts myself.
You know perfectly well what I mean. We are now at the stage where people are using the most fickle excuse not to go to Holker Street. I Personally know of two people who jacked it in because Paul Casson was photographed at Holker Street endorsing a Conservative candidate at the general election.

Surely 2/1 would return £40 plus stake?

Just asking for a friend like.

Wasn't Aldershot the last game before Ady Pennock officially took over, although he was at the club at the time?
