I actually can't believe how much importance people put on pies. Come on get some sort of a life. Just get a pie for your dinner before you go. There's plenty in the town.

Does it matter, If the demand is there then Supply it...How difficult would it be to buy 2 pie warmers & place 1 in the Crossbar & the other in the Trust shop & have avolunteer walking the terraces with a warming bag full of pies, Have a Supply deal with a few local pie shops & give the paying public a choice.

Advertise it well & give it a minimum 10 home game trail to gauge demand, work at it, not half arsed as per.

There's 3 'food' vans throughout the ground. Why would you need to place them anywhere else?

Volunteers are thin on the ground and the club is trying to run everything apart from the playing stuff on a shoestring.

That was a great crowd there. It would be interesting to hear the views of fans who watch both teams about the respective match day experience at Craven Park/ Holker Street, things we could do better, things we are better at. One thing you can’t do at the football (any football match) is have a drink on the terraces whilst watching the game. A ruling which is surely overdue a review.

Google the Sporting Events Control of Alcohol Act. It applies to the National League and above.

Lost count of the number of times I had to tell people not to drink in view of the pitch.....the staff DO NOT make this up. It’s the law. Yet get abuse at every game.

I attended many other National League clubs during my time at BAFC and Other clubs most certainly work to the law. Which is only correct.

What’s happening at our club, Simple Answer is “Transition Period” I can only imagine how difficult it must have been for the club to cope with everything that gone on recently.

Cox was touting himself out to all comers while he was still our Manager, That put our Owners in a hugely difficult position of trust, How much faith do you put into a fella who you know is going to shaft you!!
How much money do you give him to spend on players again knowing what’s round the corner!!

Easy to sit back & slag the club off for everything when they can not publicly tell you what’s going on behind closed doors, The Owners have made mistakes & will make more as they are only human but at least we are still moving forwards on & off the pitch, Yes we have struggled this season but that was inevitable with all the comings & goings.

Win tonight & other results (Hopefully) Go our way and things will be a little more comfortable for us fans , Remember if we stay up & I think we will, it will b the longest we have stayed in the National League ever...

Edmo wouldn't have shafted us, far too genuine bloke for that....unfortunately he wasn't up to this level of management, I think that was obvious. What he did do was run out of ideas and bring in people to advise him that in turn brought in their mates on silly money/contracts that took us a long time to get shot of.

If you think we would have been better off with Edmo still in charge....well, don't know what to say about that.

The biggest mistake Paul Casson made was to put his son in charge who through no fault of his own lacked the knowledge knowhow ,experience to run a football club at this level,i can understand why but this position is absolutely crucial and to throw someone in at the deep-end is nothing short of commercial suicide!

Both of these managers either achieved promotion, our best national league finish, achieved exciting cup runs and income for the club, or brought in record transfer fees for our players with no fees spent.

Edmo achieved promotion with probably one of the biggest budgets in the league at the time (if not even now) Any manager worth anything in football could've done that. Record transfer fees, yes can't knock the manager/scout for that.

Because i dont agree with alot of what happens at the club. U dont either - that's why u resigned.

Getting slightly more back on track; so how on earth does the club get the gates back to say the 1200 mark most games?

The way the two clubs are run and operate are completely different. They are both currently at the level most would expect - conference for the football and championship for the rugby, exceeding this for both is very difficult, but there is something about the rugby, that no matter how they do in the championship they're seems to be positivity.

The raiders to me have more of a local community feel about them. They have a good mix of local/
non-local players, local coaching staff and local directors. You can go in the gym and see the players, they don't strut around, they're normal guys who work during the day and play for the love of the game at the highest level they can. You can go on a night out and see them out. You can go in your local playzone with the kids and they'll be in there with their kids.... if you need your roof doing, the coach can do it for you! The directors and coaching staff are well respected and experienced in local rugby and business - they know what's needed. The junior set up, is run by experienced coaches, has one age group who have a realistic chance of making the first team, and then operate several coaching camps. They have excellent links with the local league, play on a different day to local teams. Several local players play at super league level and lads from this town have realistic expectations that the club and coaches can assist them in their dreams. The social media is excellent, they have posters across town and a shop in the centre of town which is well stocked and open regularly. Season tickets and shirts are always out early, you can have a drink at the game, the club organise coaches to away games and supporters have a relationship with the club in fundraising for their needs. The commercial side offers a warm box, buffet and a fridge full of beer, there are then interviews and music in the bar, it pretty much sells out for the season

In short, local people feel a connection and want to be involved .

The football, well they train in Rochdale, the manager is from the opposite corner of the country, the majority of players won't stop over, the club is owned by one person. We have no local players, but the ones we do have are paid a full time wage and lack motivation. The performance side is run by local lads with no experience at the clubs level, boasts about players playing in the evostick and hasn't produced any players for the club. The kids know the chance of playing in the first team is highly unlikely. You might get the chance to meet the owner at a specially arranged forum, same with the manager and players. The commercial side is aimed purely at business and
not for a good day out, the prices have been raised and it's a sit down meal .

Not exactly the same feel is it?
