Player shortage
Re: Player shortage
There is so much rubbish written on this Barrow AFC site l very rarely visit or read the views pasted on here, but sometimes it needs a response. In the past five years my comments on hear can be counted on one hand, but what l’m reading beggars belief. Some people are so jealous of a person who has left town and made a success of his life, while they continue to ouse resentment out of ever comment they make. The opportunities are there for everybody, just because some of you people chose to spend your whole lives in one town should not make you dispise people who have made a success of their careers this is so obviously comes out in your posts, some of you really need to get a life.
Re: Player shortage
Personally I like Barrowvians doing well and if they want to do something for there home town in anyway they can it's great, name me one who actually has done ?45YEARS+ wrote: ↑Tue Mar 06, 2018 8:30 pm There is so much rubbish written on this Barrow AFC site l very rarely visit or read the views pasted on here, but sometimes it needs a response. It's when you say you are going to do it and fail to come up with goods
To me the one Barrovian who did things for his home town was Willy Horne who had to be kept out of his shop because he encouraged children to do sport so much so he discounted boots way to much to make a profit.
Never been a rugby supporter but this man deserves two statues.
Re: Player shortage
I agree with 45YEARS+ I despair with what is being written on this site at times and I to am now contributing less and less. To be honest Pedro you are one of the reasons for this. You never have a good word to say and you give me the impression that you will be disappointed if we stay up this season. Barrow are what they are. A totally frustrating, infuriating team to support. But support them we do (55 years and counting in my case). I can almost anticipate Pedros response to this... if we have a team to support next season blah blah blah.......Pedro wrote: ↑Tue Mar 06, 2018 9:46 pmPersonally I like Barrowvians doing well and if they want to do something for there home town in anyway they can it's great, name me one who actually has done ?45YEARS+ wrote: ↑Tue Mar 06, 2018 8:30 pm There is so much rubbish written on this Barrow AFC site l very rarely visit or read the views pasted on here, but sometimes it needs a response. Look it's about opinions.Ive been supporting Barrow for less only 50 years.andyg wrote: ↑Tue Mar 06, 2018 10:05 pmI agree with 45YEARS+ I despair with what is being written on this site at times and I to am now contributing less and less. It's about opinions
I've seen teams like Watford ,Swindon and alot others come with much better teams but Barrow has always been my team.
I've seen Altrincham come when they had the backing of people like Noel White and Peter Swales and were a big team in none league circles.
I've followed Barrow as Vaughan exited and Keens stepped in and towards the end it got bitter.
Your attitude maybe if you do not like something you want it to fail but do not presume you know what I want.
I would like to be proven wrong about Paul Casson and my views.
Andrew has admitted his Dad promised to much but the strategy he is showing is likes the Italian Army.
I am a realist but this Messiah as adulised by some promised to turn water into wine not vinegar.
If I offended you sorry but it my view only.

I think you are being too hard on Pedro who most probably uses this forum to de-stress, to unburden his innermost angst and to enable his Ch'i to flow freely. No doubt he derives great karma from the postulation of his wisdom which in the fullness of time will enable him to complete the cycle of re-birth, so to return in the next life as a higher order of being. Praise be to a former member of this forum.andyg wrote: ↑Tue Mar 06, 2018 10:05 pmI agree with 45YEARS+ I despair with what is being written on this site at times and I to am now contributing less and less. Uncle Sam's backyard - and from a good source. Can't say too much
But it's the main reason for all the cost cutting.
I'm sure all will be revealed in the very near future...

To be quite honest; I thought I must be missing something when I first read your comments...45YEARS+ wrote: ↑Tue Mar 06, 2018 8:30 pm There is so much rubbish written on this Barrow AFC site l very rarely visit or read the views pasted on here, but sometimes it needs a response. I presume your comments are relating to Paul Casson?
I doubt whether ANYBODY on here means anything personal towards Mr Casson or his success in the USA.
Your use of the word 'dispise' is very harsh. I would suggest that the majority of fans on here aren't pleased with the way the club is being ran and are angry that many of his promises have been broken. Most of us feel let down - but to suggest that Barrow fans 'dispise' the man because he left the town and became a successful business man is ridiculous.
Many people choose to live and stay in Barrow either because they love the town or they don't have the opportunity to leave it.
I've been lucky enough to have lived/studied/worked throughout England and also abroad. I've often defended the town - when locals have ran it down - telling them that there's far worse places and that maybe they should travel to see this for themselves. However; your comments are the first I've ever read that suggest Barrovians 'dispise' people who leave Barrow to make a success of their lives...
As I say - you're being a bit harsh.
It's their love of their club - not the hatred of a man - that motivates people to make their comments.

Re: Player shortage
It's the outcome of the court case that's the worrying factor
(plus the colossal legal fees - probably the reason for the current cost cutting exercise).
And you think a bad outcome in court will have no material/financial significance for Barrow AFC?
