Snowing in Bucks

Post by Esso Blue » Sat Mar 17, 2018 8:27 am

I live about 20 miles from Maidenhead and it's snowing here with a really strong, gusty wind. The snow is not lying on the roads but is settling on the grass. It seems to be easing off a bit now. We could do without another postponement though if it goes ahead these conditions are not going to make for a pretty, passing game.

My comment about a passing game was made with my tongue stuck firmly in my cheek ;)
The snow has stopped here now and the lying ground snow wouldn't be be enough to stop a game. Howling gale will certainly even things up.

As long as they've got plenty of orange balls. :)

I decided not to travel, even though only 70 miles away, as my route there & back is due to have heavy snowfall. not snowing on south coast but further inland it seems to be getting it. nothing on their website at present time.

I live about 15 miles away.. wondering whether to drive (25 mins) or public transport (well over an hour) .. just been on their twitter feed - nothing about a pitch inspection and the barrow team and fans will have set off long ago. Hoping this is on.

I’m staying about 5 minutes from the ground, light snow for the last 2 hours but it didn’t settle and it’s easing off now.

Should be game on :scarf:

No pitch issues according to Maidenhead.
Popular side since '03.
