Blood; sweat, chapped hands through the cold and clapping and a sore throat for singing!! All completely worth it. Every man wanted that 3 points. Pennock shook all our hands at the end. Barra [SwearFilter] Soccer!

Nothing but respect for the manager after hearing he shook the hands of every barrow fan leaving. Top bloke. Stay up this season. Recruit well in the summer and move forward next season

Very good performance that was, controlled most of the game and probably could have got 1 or 2 more. Maidenhead had 1 real chance when their player was 1 on 1 with Arnold but Arnold stood up well and blocked. Other than that we defended well and they didn't really have another clear chance.

It was a good team performance but 4 players stood out for me, all of them excellent.

Walters is a hell of a player, beats players for fun and had them on the ropes everytime he got the ball. Worked hard too.

Waterson was excellent as I said on another thread.

Makoma playing out of position had a very solid game, very little got past him.

Luke James was again outstanding. Worked tirelessly, clever with the ball, rarely wasted possession and took his goal very well. If we can get him on a permanent deal that would be a great signing.

only 1 game on tues Solihull v Bromley we could do with Bromley winning that one having said that they might rest some players as they are beating Gateshead 3 2 after the semi final first leg of the trophy

Bromley have played loads of games recently & as you say probably rest a few on Tued or I expect a easy-ish win for the Moors

Good result but Pennock needs to be telling them there is still work to be done. Games coming thick and fast. Time to separate the men from the boys.

Good to see Holt benched. Waste of a jersey while this unfit still. Legs gone.

To suggest play off chasing Bromley will rest players is odd. Yes they are 8 points outside the playoffs but they have 3 games in hand of the teams just above them.

Just been studying the league table.. Pretty amazing that not one of the bottom 10 teams in the league lost today

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/nat ... ague/table

The lowest placed team who lost today were... Maidenhead

Every now and then you get a totally professional performance from us!!
No frills we just have the right mindset for 90+ minutes, today was one of those days. Few would of given us much chance after reading the starting line up, me included tbh. Maybe the thoughts of saving ourselves for Wednesday were starting to cross one or twos minds.
Ady Pennock was certainly having none of that, the attitude from us from start to finish was top notch, workman like, committed from start to finish. Did we deserve our win, damn right we did!!
Gomis took one for the team and will be a big miss, but only if we let it affect us.
