Oh yeah, if I've got a monkey downstairs - you'll have to have a gorilla upstairs.spirit of 1990 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 02, 2018 1:39 pmHard to compare different grassed areas throughout the area WG. Re: Pitch Inspection
When I renewed my season tkt today queried with our md Andrew re problems with pitch as to possible cause ie foundations from speedway plus poss floodlight work compression of ground. He said that in an effort to reduce the bumps and make pitch flatter they had taken quite a bit of top surface off which has not left a lot to absorb water. They are looking at among other remedies of putting more soil etc back on.

Why the negative comment regards Dalton - wonderful place to live, lot nicer than some of the Cr***y areas in Barrow, but what do i know. Maybd i should just bow to your superior knowledgeJo am back wrote: ↑Mon Apr 02, 2018 12:23 pmVery positive new member colin, you will fit in well on this forum. I suggest you take a look outside at the weather now mate, its lashing down and whoever made the decision to call the match off, was absolutely correct. Was gonna say the weather must be better in dalton, but nowts better in dalton lets be honest.Colindalton wrote: ↑Mon Apr 02, 2018 10:56 am It is truly staggering that the amount of rain we have had overnight has caused yet another postponement. We have had almost a dry last week it really does show how poor our pitch has now become. It does seem to reflect the whole mood of the club at the moment it just is not good enough and I'm sure I reflect the opinion of many who feel disillusioned and disappointed with the state of our club at the moment.

We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Re: Pitch Inspection
Could cause a problem for Wintergreen if the soccer and the rugby are both at home at the same time. Unless he's got a front & back lawn of course.

Colin, dont be offended, Jo No crack is always posting complete shite.Colindalton wrote: ↑Mon Apr 02, 2018 1:09 pm I'm not a new member by the way and thanks for your polite comments about dalton.
It's a shame that people's comments can't be accepted without pointless abuse being posted in reply.
As for the facts about the amount of rain we have had it's been one of the driest winters we've had for a long time. I was in Coniston on Friday and can't remember the water level being as low at this time of the year.
