Saw a flag at the recent West Ham match “sold a dream, given a nightmare” sounds quite apt for us really given what Casson “sold” to us at the Forum, the guy has talked so much BS he should be ashamed. Holker St is still a shithole, the team is a joke and not one of the squad we lost last year has been replaced with anything near as good quality a player even though we got substantial money in transfer fees. I know I’m going over old ground here but relegation will spell the end of us if we will fall into the VN which we are 99% certainyly looking like now.

Will need a completely new squad and management team for conference north next season. Have been supporting this team for over 60yrs and will continue to do so,but this team is one of the worst I’ve seen. When is the second goal coming?

No point in blaming the players when they just aren't good enough! All the club's better than average players from last season - Livesey, Anderton, Williams, Bennett, Harrison have been allowed to leave without being replaced. From the moment Livesey was allowed to leave I could see the writing was on the wall as any club with ambition would have moved heaven and earth to keep a player of his calibre who was at an age where he wouldn't be attractive to a league team. I placed a bet on Barrow to be in the bottom 4 at 10/1 very early in the season in the faint hope that my atrocious luck in betting might save us but it's looking more and more unlikely to help! The owner is keeping the club running but it's been obvious to anybody with half a brain for a very long time that he just hasn't the resources to fund a club at this level any longer.

Ironic that Danny Livesey probably the best Defender we’ve had at the club in the last decade (who was only worthy of a 1 year contract) will most likely Captain Salford City to the CN championship & replace us if we go down.

Think it’s safe to say project Casson has failed miserably. Barrow fans have been completely sold down the river & the club we all love is now an absolute shambles mostly as a result of the absolute shite the guy has spouted & promised. Andrew Casson is also part of the comedy act.

Interesting to see that Pennock did the aftermatch interview for RC after sending out Jamie in recent games. Wasn’t exactly inspiring though - all he kept on about was remaining confident from the tea lady upwards.
Adam challenged him about Dan Jones being sent off and also being involved in the fracas after Tuesdays game and he said he didn’t see why that had been brought up.
I would say that the supporters want to know what is going on Mr Pennock and not bullshit answers. The media is not there to be the mouthpiece of the club - it’s there to challenge when something seems to be wrong.

Whole season is a shambles.
Manager assembles a squad to play a certain way. Chairman contradicts him on air regarding more signings.
Sell best striker.
Manager leaves.
Employ an untried manager on a long contract and sack him 8 games in.
Directors leave.
Head of recruitment leaves.
Physio leaves. And he's not been replaced by the way. So no physio at club at the moment.
Sign a ex premier league striker all the fans were calling for who hasn't scored.

Playing a number of youth loan players in team who constantly make mistakes but probably have to be played as part of the loan deal.

Do you really think this is what the players who came in the summer signed up for

Add in to the Mix that I've never seen a club with as many referees who seem to want to give everything to the opposing teams. Particularly that clown on Tuesday.

+1 For the first time now I agree. I want our club & identity back, despite what league we play in. Sick of the bullshit, that Pennock interview was an insult to every Barrow fan.

Agree. Our transfer activity over summer is a major cause of this, yes hindsight etc, but I think Casson believed the way to build Barrow up was to send Paul Ogden out on a mission to bring in the next Williams, Anderton, Bennett, players who would develop here and then be sold on. It hasnt worked and we've struggled all season trying to get a winning formula with a small squad, many who have just not been good enough. End result, well the table doesnt lie. At the end of last season the question should have been who do we need to add to this decent squad. I am left thnking that last seasons squad, with the likes of Yussuf, Gomes coming in over summer and I think we’d have gone the extra step. Players like Akil Wright, ARH, Ross Hannah, Danny Livesy are good players who would walk into this side.

Its not all over yet, but I am fearing the worst. A defeat at Leyton O. was never going to be the end of the world in itself, but the manner of defeat - with a sending off and then 2 goals in stoppage time - looks like surrender from a bunch of players who have lost heart. Of course, if we win on Tuesday while Woking and Solihull lose, everything will look hopeful again! Fingers crossed.

We’ve always somehow scrapped & survived & we’d continue to do that. I want a typical Barrow team back full of misfit grafters & battlers to galvanise the club, fans & the town again. The Casson arse lickers surely can’t defend this for much longer?. If your reading this Paul prove to us your a man of your word!.
